Dear MaGZ...
You are incorrect.
Exhibit A:
Evidence that the Otis ANG Fighters were not over Manhattan when UA175 hit WTC2:
09:07:20
NASYPANY: Okay, Foxy. Plug in. I want to make sure this is on tape.… This is what—this is what I foresee that we probably need to do. We need to talk to F.A.A. We need to tell ‘em if this stuff’s gonna keep on going, we need to take those fighters on and then put ‘em over Manhattan, O.K.? That’s the best thing. That’s the best play right now. So, coordinate with the F.A.A. Tell ‘em if there’s more out there, which we don’t know, let’s get ‘em over Manhattan. At least we got some kinda play.
Exhibit B:
Evidence that NEADS had not been given approval to use force at 0903:
10:10:31
NASYPANY (to floor): Negative. Negative clearance to shoot.… Goddammit!…
FOX: I’m not really worried about code words at this point.
NASYPANY: **** the code words. That’s perishable information. Negative clearance to fire. ID. Type. Tail.
As you can see, you are incorrect.
In addition, the scramble lights at Otis turned green at 0846. On 9/11 it took an average of 7 minutes from lights turning green for a pair of fighters to get airbourne and start heading in the right direction.
That means at 0853 they turned for New York. At absolute maximum speed, it would take an F-15 a further 7 minutes to fly the 192 miles from Otis to Manhattan. So in this scenario the aircraft would have reached Manhattan at 0900. Unfortunately, the F-15's would be at cruising altitude - 35,000ft or more, far above UA175. They could do nothing.
If, on the other hand, this was anticipated, and the fighters flew at their maximum speed at low altitude, they would have reached New York at 0905 - too late to do anything.
Of course neither of these scenarios are correct.
a) The fighters were never directed to Manhattan - they were directed to airspace over water off Long Island. The FAA wouldn't allow them over Manhattan for fear of collision.
b) The fighters were not using afterburner and flying at full speed the entire way.
c) The fighters weren't going to intercept UA175, they were going to intercept AA11, which crashed at the moment they began to taxi.
NEADS didn't learn of a second hijacking until literally the moment that UA175 hit WTC2.
09:03:17
ROUNTREE: They have a second possible hijack!
Your missile theory is false, incorrect, wrong, and not true.
