The Massei/Mignini Conspiracy Theory

Don't forget Profazio and De Felice. Their contenders baby, contenders !
Nice choice with Napoleoni !

We should make a list of Frank's pack.

I've a suspicion that the members of 'The Pack' would correlate nicely with the the police who are suing Amanda and her parents for calunnial. Here's the list of whose doing the suing, along with a nice picture of Monica Napoleoni, and I do believe that's the back of John Follain's head in the foreground. At any rate, here's the list of the ones charging Amanda:

1. Marco Chiacchiera, vice director, flying squad (in Questura control room).
2. Edgardo Giobbi, head of SCO, Rome (Questura control room).
3. Monica Napoleoni, homicide chief, Flying Squad (went back and forth between Amanda and Raffaele Sollecito’s interrogation rooms and Questura control room).
4. Lorena Zugarini, Flying Squad. (Amanda’s room).
5. Rita Ficarra, Flying Squad (Amanda’s room).
6. Fabio D’Astolto, Flying Squad (saw Knox on Nov. 2).
7. Ivano Raffo, SCO, Rome (Amanda’s room).
8. Anna Donnino, Flying Squad Interpreter (Amanda’s room).

Of these eight, five would also file suits on her parents, and I haven't seen any information as to who that would be. Five would correlate nicely with the number that showed up at Frank's door, however looking at this it would seem that removing the ones from Rome and the interpreter, that would leave the head of homicide and the vice director of the Flying Squad, and I kinda doubt that would go unnoticed that they happened to be roaming the streets with the other three. My guess is the ones from here would be part of a larger 'Pack' not all of whom are involved in this case.

I am very interested in hearing your take as to how things "went down".

They don't allow me to use those words on this board! :p

However I've been thinking about this recently and perhaps when I have more time I'll update what I think might have occurred in that little room in that Perugian police station which led to this debacle.

I know I posted earlier in Cartland that the beauty of any good CT is that it can expand to include new data or conspirators as the need arises but this CT inflation is getting out of hand.

You will have to change the thread title [again !] to a much longer one at this rate - or replace Mignini with Napoleoni at least ;)

Why is she included - is this 'jealous cop' idea the reverse of Mary H's 'horny cops' argument or a natural [if misogynistic] progression.

Italian women hated AK for the same reason Italian men lusted after her - her beauty !
It's well known there are no good looking women in Italy and that might explain it
- is that it ?

Why, Platonov, is it for satire's sake that you immediately start thinking about sexual motives when I'm just discussing corrupt cops? :p

Incidentally, this isn't an 'expanding conspiracy' unless you think of all institutional corruption as 'conspiracy.' The cops screwed the pooch in this case, I'm trying to figure out who was the most responsible amongst them for that, and who did the most misdirection and might even have performed some slight of hand to 'help' things along.

Perhaps you need to re-read the OP, the CT in the heading is a reference to a CT created by Massei and Mignini about how three people conspired to rape and murder Meredith Kercher. I do agree with you about how any good CT is that it can expand to include new data or conspirators as the need arises though, sort of like being able to swap in and out black guys without changing an ounce of the created story.

I also have to agree that Napoleoni wasn't the one at fault here, the one I have the most issue with is Giobbi who was able to determine that AK was guilty based entirely on the fact that she was out eating pizza instead of being curled up in bed crying her eyes out like he believed she should be, then set out to prove it.

I suspect in the end there will blame enough to encompass many of them, however in my view this whole mess started in the back room in the middle of the night, and it's those who have the greatest motive to cover up what happened--which they did by scapegoating Amanda for the arrest of Lumumba. I know Napoleoni lied in court, she deliberately tried to deceive people as to the nature of what happened, whereas Giobbi was was quite honest about his complete and utter cluelessness. Mignini is a kook, he's the one who came up with the absurd 'theory' of the crime without evidence to support it, but according to reports he wasn't even there for the first portion of the night's proceedings, he wouldn't come in until after Amanda was already broken and had signed the 1:45 AM statement.

One thing that makes me wonder about Napoleoni--especially--is the fact as Head of Homicide and directly involved in the case she can't help but to know that 'murder knife' was never evidence of murder. I'm also becoming more and more interested in just who was telling the lies to the press in this case, or at least who was generating them for the one telling them. Katody and I listed a few of them back early in the thread, but just a list there is ineffective in getting across just how mendacious (thank you Platonov! I like your word and I'm going to use it! :P ) the cops were with the press.

It's easy in a sense to wave that away with global dismissals of inaccurate initial reports, and press mistakes, which given the level 'press' with greatest interest in the case was especially likely, but lately I've been looking into the 'bleach receipt,' the Harry Potter book, the missing sweatshirt, the CCTV camera they claimed captured Amanda at the cottage, and other lies the cops told the press and there's no getting around it: the cops outright, brazenly lied. Some of this stuff they presented to courts, notably the 'missing sweatshirt' I can show you a picture of sitting right on Amanda's bed from the crime scene photos of the November the second, right where Amanda said she left it. They presented this to two courts, the Court of Freedom and the Supreme Court as 'evidence' against Amanda.

I'm thinking in this case we know we have a vengeful kook and a clueless clown, (Mignini and Giobbi) however I'm not sure that can explain all the lying that was done and the 'mistakes' that were made.

Naming names and all that.

Its difficult, if not impossible, to satirise the cartwheel arguments generally :)
I am tempted to invoke Lehrer but this nonsense isn't at the same level and the comparison might be described as overblown [and possibly offensive - but not for the reasons you might imagine]

But as to this list of the conspirators - have a go.

Its surely more worthwhile than another recitation of the Nov 5th mantra or complaints about media coverage.

Indeed it might be easier and shorter to name those out of the 40/60/90 involved in the case who haven't lied or perjured themselves or planted evidence etc etc etc.

For example I see on the other thread LondonJohn is accusing Filomena R of something or other (again).
But this '2 minute hate' directed at the various miscreants responsible for AK's plight is hard to keep track of & as I pointed out to Justinian a long time ago, lists are vital in this type of enterprise. ( a search for the phrase 'a purge of degraded beings' should find the post)

Let me start you off ; apart from AK & RS who involved in the case hasn't lied or isn't part of the plot.Lets see if you/we can get some agreement on this ??

For openers : are the defence lawyers in on it ? or merely incompetent relative to google experts ? - and then go on from there.

Quite right, the original thread should have been "Amanda Knox - Guilty all because of a hip swivel and eating pizza". That would have been a far more accurate version of the belief of certain members of the establishment in Italy. They had her pegged as guilty well before the "cartwheel".

But as to this list of the conspirators - have a go.

Why does there have to be a conspriacy? Personally I'm still far more in favour of a serious case of tunnel vision and confirmation bias. This is known to happen in police forces with unfortunate regulatity, and far more often than massive conspriacies to frame people.

For example I see on the other thread LondonJohn is accusing Filomena R of something or other (again).

He was noting that her testimony changed dramatically over time, moving towards the prosecution's version of events over time despite the evidence that her initial statements were closer to the truth, something that is also known to occur in cases. Check out the witnesses in the Cameron Todd Willingham case and how they changed over time.

apart from AK & RS who involved in the case hasn't lied or isn't part of the plot.

What plot? As to who hasn't lied... it's pretty clear that the police have frequently been rather liberal with the truth. They told Amanda that they had hard evidence on her being involved in the murder, that wasn't true. They told her that she had HIV, again not true. They told the Courts that Amanda had thrown away her sweatshirt, not true. They claimed that the book she was reading at Rafaelle's was found in the cottage, not true. And those clearly aren't the only failures of truth from the Prosecution and Police. Were they deliberate lies, or just really bad police work? Given the footage of the evidence collection, I'm not willing to call that one, you could make a pretty good case either way.

For openers : are the defence lawyers in on it ? or merely incompetent relative to google experts ? - and then go on from there.

I suspect that the defence lawyers understand more about Italian courts and systems then anyone here, and also know that if they want to keep in the game to defend people, they have to stay within a set of invisible rules that people on the Net don't (though it seems that some on the net are starting to fall foul of those rules regardless.) If you are in the same boat as people like Frank have found themselves in, you can't do a lot of defending of your clients so you play the game to keep doing your job and save who you can.

Ahhhh Massei/Mignini CT....

How could anyone ever imagine that? I’m shocked! Next you'll be telling me that Mignini uses slander charges to exact revenge on his enemies...

Top of my list is Stefanoni...she is 100% correct and has never had a contamination or in fact ever had a hair out of place. She easily lies in court and in fact she plays a far greater role in this debacle than she gets credit for.

As strange as it may seem it was Stefanoni who was in charge of bringing all the experts together to frame the scene of the murder. After her DNA analysis she called a meeting of the "minds" to put the crime together. All the geniuses were there...Mignini,Giobbi,Giunta ,Intini ,Matteini,Napoleone,Profazio,Rinaldi ....

Stefanoni opening remark..."Ok, first we are certain of the staged break-in." Next we will look at....

That is how much discussion the staged break-in got at the meeting of the minds...WTF is Stefanoni doing leading the reconstruction? ....And since working so closely with the DNA evidence and the high bias error likely when it is prosecution based anyway...but in this case its far worse now because the DNA expert is pulling together the case ...footprints, DNA, what she calls mixed blood traces, finger prints...etc...

That’s why I give her a thumbs down and a hardy throw her to the lions...for her total overall lack of performance. It started with sloppy collection...a really cute example of which you can view here...this is truly precious...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=conjBUiEE9I&feature=player_embedded#at=28

And ends with her false statements to the court where she is shown to be deceptive about the testing she did for blood on the Luminol "footprints".

A cute but dangerous slob who has no business doing police work of any kind.

Let me cartwheel out of here...

BTW....the truth about the cartwheel is that there never was a cartwheel ...there was however a split. AK did a split at the request of a male police officer who saw her stretching and marveled at her flexibility...Can you do a split the pervert questioned? Unfortunately the compliant AK did do that...which certainly must make her a murderer.

My Best Guilty Timeline

My Best Guilty Timeline

Amanda and Raffaele get stoned on pot between 8:40 and 9:26. Raffaele puts in a video at 9:26 but Amanda reminds him they were going to go to the cottage for some reason. At 9:27 they leave for the cottage.

They happen to run into Rudy Guede who asks them for some pot. Amanda says to come over to the cottage with them because she has some there.

The three enter the cottage. They are being loud and laughing. Rudy takes a dump but doesn't flush because he's high. At some point Meredith, who was trying to read while sitting on her bed, comes out to the kitchen and complains about the noise.

Rudy goes over to try and charm her into joining them in the fun. He starts to touch her a bit. She says no and for him to leave. He asks Raffaele and Meredith to come and convince her. Meredith yells at Amanda to take the boys and leave. This makes Amanda mad and she argues with Meredith as Rudy holds her hands firm. Amanda pulls out the kitchen knife she had brought to the cottage for some reason and touches Meredith’s skin without breaking it. Raffaele, who is stoned, reaches behind for Meredith’s bra clasp and tries to unhook it. This freaks Meredith out who runs to her room.

Rudy Guede chases after her and corners her by the bed. He pulls out his knife to subdue her and nicks her with shallow wounds. Meredith breaks free and runs toward the desk. Meredith screams at 9:45 p.m. Rudy grabs her, forces her to her knees, pins her from behind and cuts her throat. She moves to the wardrobe aspirating blood. Rudy grabs the sleeves of her jacket and pulls it off of her. He turns her onto her back lying down and removes her jeans, socks and shoes, panties. He pushes up her long sleeve t-shirt. He turns her on her side and rips of her bra. He then grabs the pillow off of her bed and puts it under her hips and rapes her.

Amanda and Raffaele went chasing after Rudy and Meredith but didn’t enter the bedroom. They witness the murder but leave for the kitchen during the rape. They are panicked because they realize what has happened. They don’t know what to do and decide to stage a break-in. They go into Filomena’s bedroom and dump her clothes from the wardrobe onto the floor. Rudy yells for Amanda though asking for towels. Amanda and Raffaele come out and tell him the towels are in the bathroom.

Rudy grabs towels and puts them on Meredith’s neck but it is useless. Meredith dies about 9:55 p.m. He tries to wash up in the bathroom a bit. Amanda and Raffaele are in the hall panicked. They tell Rudy to get Meredith’s keys to lock her door. Rudy grabs Meredith purse and takes the phones, money, credit cards and keys. He tries to turn the phones off and hits random numbers. They lock Meredith door and decide to leave. They leave the cottage quickly and Raffaele remembers they were going to stage the break-in. Rudy climbs quickly up to the shutters and opens them. Raffaele finds a rock and hands it to Rudy who throws it through the window. They all take off running at about 10:05 - 10:10 p.m. Amanda and Raffaele go back to his apt. Rudy goes toward the park and ends up throwing away the phones.

Well, Kevin Lowe, waiting for your feedback. You've been asking for someone to do this for a while now.
Anyone else?

Not bad, although based on the available evidence there's not good reason to believe that Guede knew Knox and Sollecito well enough to invite him over for pot - but than again anything's possible.

The story gets a bit flaky when Amanda pulls out a kitchen knife and threatens Meredith. There's absolutely nothing dating from before Meredith's murder that indicates that Knox was in any way whatsoever the kind of person who would threaten people with kitchen knives.

The story gets totally flaky when Guede cuts Meredith's throat and rapes her while she dies while Raffaele and Amanda stand around flapping their hands instead of calling the police, running out of the house or doing anything else logical. There doesn't seem to be any plausible reason for them to aid and abet Guede by covering up for him and staging a break-in.

The fact that they just happened to stage a break-in in Guede's characteristic style is also a bit awkward, but maybe they asked him for advice on breaking in to houses while Guede was rinsing off their friend's blood. Maybe he said "Chuck a rock through an accessible second-storey window, it's what I always do when I want to get inside a building and roam around with a knife stealing things".

Then there's a real problem explaining why neither of Raffaele or Amanda ever decided to come clean and say what really happened. The fact that they both stuck to their story like glue except for the previously discussed deviations under intense questioning tends to make me think that either they were in it well and truly, or they weren't in it at all. If either one could get out of jail free by saying "It was the other two and it happened like this, I was just an unwilling accessory, they threatened me!" you'd think one of them would have done it by now.

Arguably their going back to the house the next day makes no sense in this story either. Guilters like to babble some vague nonsense about "they wanted to control the discovery of the crime scene", whatever the hell that is supposed to mean, but it would make much more sense to me if they'd nicked off to Gubbio as they were planning without stopping in at Amanda's house. That would have delayed the discovery of the body, given them time to dispose of the incriminating kitchen knife and the clothes they were wearing, allowed witness memories to fade, and generally worked to their advantage.

Those issues can all be worked around if you make enough convenient assumptions about Amanda and Raffaele being alternatively crack-addled psychopathic idiots and criminal geniuses.

This theory throws Curatolo, Nara and for that matter Mignini, Comodi, Massei and Christiani completely under the bus, but that's inevitable for any coherent guilter theory at this point I believe. None of them are really salvageable.

Bottom line: Breaks no laws of physics but is Bigfoot-level improbable. I don't think there's any prospect of proof beyond reasonable doubt that this or anything like it happened, hence no prospect of a justified guilty verdict.

... Meredith dies about 9:55 p.m.

That's still almost 4 hours after begining the last meal.

You also need to work in the juice and the fight in the hall. Rudy wouldn't have just made that stuff up.

They all take off running at about 10:05 - 10:10 p.m.

You're going to have to tighten this up. Naruto only runs for 20 minutes plus 20 minutes more for the screen saver to kick in and 6 minutes more (maximum) before human interaction is again recorded on that computer requires Raffaele to be back in his apartment by (9:26+20+20+6) 10:12.

(* this also presumes that Raffaele's first concern after returning from a brutal murder is to find out what is behind the mask)

4 hours is within the 2-4 hours given in court.

Rudy, Raffaele and Amanda were smoking pot together in the kitchen. Rudy had some juice during that time.

Rudy made up the fight. He didn't fight with a stranger, he fought with Meredith.

They didn't stay and watch Naruto. They went to the cottage instead.

I don't accept the screen saver information at this time, it hasn't been presented in court.

They felt and were complicit because they brought Rudy Guede into the cottage. Amanda also threatened Meredith and Raffaele started to try and remove MK's bra. The murder didn't take long and in their stoned state of mind they didn't react quickly with what to do. They started to stage Filomena's room by dumping her clothes out of the wardrobe because they knew they were partly to blame for Meredith's murder.

Yes, that's correct. Raffaele remembered they were going to stage a breakin and wanted to go back into the cottage to do it. Rudy suggested they just throw the rock through the window instead, since that was familiar to him.

They knew they were partly to blame. They would be held as guilty for participation in the murder even if they didn't deliver the fatal blow. Once they claimed innocence there was no way to say what really happened because no one would believe they weren't fully involved.

It was Amanda's NORMAL routine to take a shower at the cottage. Her and Raffaele thought it would look suspicious if they veered off her normal routine.

Those issues can all be worked around if you make enough convenient assumptions about Amanda and Raffaele being alternatively crack-addled psychopathic idiots and criminal geniuses.

Amanda and Raffaele clearly have socially unacceptable behavior and make poor choices. Hence the kissing outside the cottage and at the police station, the cartwheel. Raffaele was a real numskull to bring a knife with him to the police station, stoned and all.

This theory throws Curatolo, Nara and for that matter Mignini, Comodi, Massei and Christiani completely under the bus, but that's inevitable for any coherent guilter theory at this point I believe. None of them are really salvageable.

Toto is out. However Nara's scream was moved to 9:45 p.m. That is close to the time of 10:30 p.m. in Rudy's trial. Nara was never sure of the exact time.

Bottom line: Breaks no laws of physics but is Bigfoot-level improbable. I don't think there's any prospect of proof beyond reasonable doubt that this or anything like it happened, hence no prospect of a justified guilty verdict.

That is incorrect. This timeline works perfectly with the evidence. The jury will surely understand this even if Kevin Lowe does not.

There is the rumor of the rape prank - smoke = fire
She was also stoned.

We tracked the "rape prank" rumour to ground and the original unsubstantiated claim involved no knives, no multiple assailants and no rape. Knives, multiple bad guys and rape were all embroidered on to the story by guilters as they went along.

Also "rape pranks" don't exist in the form the guilters need them to. Despite Jackie/Treehorn's oft-repeated claim that you could google "rape prank" and get a million hits, you won't find a single one about groups of roommates threatening friends with knives. They're all either nonsense staged for TV prank shows, or young men sticking things up each other's bums.

It's still a fair chunk of time to explain given that Rudy had to fight Meredith, rape her, get towels and wash himself off. Even if Rudy was notably lacking in sexual stamina, unless he was The Flash he's not going to get all that done in such a short time that Raffaele or Amanda couldn't have run out of the cottage and phoned for help.

Yes, that's correct. Raffaele remembered they were going to stage a breakin and wanted to go back into the cottage to do it. Rudy suggested they just throw the rock through the window instead, since that was familiar to him.

That works.

They knew they were partly to blame. They would be held as guilty for participation in the murder even if they didn't deliver the fatal blow. Once they claimed innocence there was no way to say what really happened because no one would believe they weren't fully involved.

Hindsight being 20/20 you are probably right that it would have played out this way. However at the time Amanda and Raffaele didn't know that Mignini was a nutty little man obsessed with sick fantasies of Satanic rituals, who would have crowbarred any such admission into a narrative involving all three in the murder.

Unless they somehow knew straight away Mignini wasn't sane, that doesn't explain why neither of them came clean.

It was Amanda's NORMAL routine to take a shower at the cottage. Her and Raffaele thought it would look suspicious if they veered off her normal routine.

This is a bit weak as stories go: a girlfriend showering at her boyfriend's house is scarcely suspicious behaviour.

Amanda and Raffaele clearly have socially unacceptable behavior and make poor choices. Hence the kissing outside the cottage and at the police station, the cartwheel. Raffaele was a real numskull to bring a knife with him to the police station, stoned and all.

Toto is out. However Nara's scream was moved to 9:45 p.m. That is close to the time of 10:30 p.m. in Rudy's trial. Nara was never sure of the exact time.

Okay, that works.

As Dan O. pointed out 9:45pm is still stretching credulity in terms of the autopsy evidence, but once again it's not totally impossible.

Ideally the guilty position would have a narrative that could be "proven true beyond reasonable doubt", but if all we're trying for is "not absolutely ruled out by the laws of physics" then this gets under that bar.

That is incorrect. This timeline works perfectly with the evidence. The jury will surely understand this even if Kevin Lowe does not.

That pesky 9:26pm Naruto file combined with Meredith's likely time of death being in the 21:00-21:30pm range is the real problem.

If you could just find some way to explain that away it would improve the theory substantially. That would allow you to move the time of death back three quarters of an hour or so to reconcile with Rudy's story and the autopsy evidence.

As it is, it still looks like the most probable story is that Meredith was murdered before Raffaele even clicked on that Naruto file, which makes it really hard to squeeze him and Amanda into the murder.

Excellent job, Draca :)

Though I see you dismissed much of Mignini's evidence and all of his witnesses.

Could you clarify some things for me:

What for is Amanda carrying that knife to and fro? If it was touch DNA on the knife, why was it still there after it had been cleaned to a state of being "extremely clean"?

What about those prints - when did Raffaele leave his bare print on the mat? Or in the corridor? Where are the rest of them? Who and when left the luminol "blobs" in Filomena's room?

What was Meredith doing for that 40 minutes alone at home? What about that failed phone call? Why no texts at all as usual? Why was she still in the same clothes as she walked outside, shoes included?

Why did the two switch off phones simultaneously?

Part of that time can be covered by Meredith taking care of the cat downstairs where she would have noticed that it's abscessed ear has broken through the skin and there is blood all over her new boyfriends bed. She's a stranger to the injured cat so she probably can't even get in the same room with it without trying to trap it which would be a bad idea. But she can roll up the bedspread to try and keep it clean and strip the sheets to see it they could be clean. Back in her room she searches the Internet for "how to clean blood from a crime scene" then nips off to the CONAD to buy some bleach. The store is closed of course so she makes a mental note picturing herself returning first thing in the morning in a red jacket (as a minder of the blood).

I don't know and Amanda is not telling. The knife was 'clean' before it was brought to the cottage. They just put it back in the drawer because it still looked clean. As the DNA expert's recent leak notes - it wasn't cleaned with bleach or anything.

What about those prints - when did Raffaele leave his bare print on the mat? Or in the corridor? Where are the rest of them? Who and when left the luminol "blobs" in Filomena's room?

Rudy made the bathmat print. As I said above, Raffaele and Amanda never went into the bedroom. The hall prints are probably old prints unrelated. Rudy may have left a couple though. Amanda left her DNA in Filomena's room when she went in there. She had recently touched Meredith and brought her DNA in also. I'm not sure what made the luminol blob react, but it was definitely their DNA.

What was Meredith doing for that 40 minutes alone at home? What about that failed phone call? Why no texts at all as usual? Why was she still in the same clothes as she walked outside, shoes included?

She came home and turned on the heat and light in her room. She left her jacket on while the cottage was heating up. She may have kicked off her shoes while still tied, lots of people do that. She hung her tote bag on the chair and then settled in sitting on her bed to read the book she borrowed. She started to call her mom and changed her mind thinking she would call a bit later. 40 minutes goes by fast, she got engaged in the book and hadn't gotten on her computer yet that night.

Why did the two switch off phones simultaneously?

This was always a myth. Amanda said she turned off her phone, but it is impossible to tell when a cell phone is turned off otherwise. Raffaele's was probably still on.

'1 planers ' vs 'No planers' debate finally gets to the truth of the 911 conspiracy.

A new* departure - All CT's should be investigated/settled this way.

Excellent :D

Guess it is easier if more lengthy than the shortlist [or longlist] requested above.

So when can we expect a resolution to this ? & Which way will it go ???

Will it be the butler or the rhinoceros hiding in the cupboard.

FWIW my money is on ...da da da .... 'the black guy' - He did it alone, AK/RS are INNOCENT.

* Although reminiscent of Dan O's thread where no evidence against AK/RS would be considered.

This is vivid and overwhelming. Congrats again :) For completeness we need some plausible reason for the knife transport. I'd go with the one in which knife is carried for protection in a suitably large bag. Although this is straight from Massei I'd say it stands out as very lucid among the slightly preposterous propositions we were forced to reject and replace.

Well I must say that guilty time line is a good job. This case is about a brutal murder and so anything could have happened and so I cant quite claim it a big foot argument at all.
This is plausable.

My biggest thoughts against this theory are two.

1. This crime is so very common...for one person to commit that is. A robbery, rape murder happens every day somewhere in the world. This crime involving 3 persons ...one of whom is a girl is a big foot moment.

2. This guilty time line is the best Ive seen so far...but if it is true then what explains the failure of AK, RS to lawyer up very quickly? Certainly they would be more scared if this were the actual case and so after day 1 of questioning they would have run to a lawyer. Instead they returned to the police on the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th...and never thought they might be better off speaking to a lawyer? This is where the theory fails the smell test.
