I was just pointing out another pour soul who also got banned after posting only once, like HyJinX, I think it was.

I actually managed to survive for 86 posts, and was surprised it lasted that long. I crossed paths with the "leader of the pack" a couple times, the most memorable being when I asked him why he neglected to even make mention of a huge investigation (NIST) that addressed in depth the very subject of a large part of his movie. He first tried to claim he didn't have time, but after I pointed out other additions he did have time for, his response was basically: "It's my movie and I'll do what I want". "I don't owe you a thing!"

This was in a thread started by "NewtonFig", I think the only one he started. (can't post links yet)

Anyways, thanks for the welcome, and thanks for all you've done to help debunk these guys. Their reactions to you are evidence that you are indeed effective!

I used to think there was a limit to the amount of stupidity that could be exhibited by one human being, now I realise I was wrong. There is no limit.

I used to think that eventually a point would be reached when no intelligence was present and that would be like absolute zero.

I now think that stupidity obeys some kind of fractal pattern in that it can be infinite within finite boundaries.

Look at it this way the sheer denisty of the stupidity on the LC forum is eventually going to reach critical mass and fold in itself, sucking some if not all of the stupid in the universe in onto of itself.

Maybe we'll lose professional wrestling, boy racers, and people who start sentences with "now I'm no racist, but..."

I love that quote, so much so that one day I check an EngGer dictionary to see. They do however apparently have a word for fluffy.

I believe it is 'flaumig' or some such.

After a fairly solid run, all the while maintaining strict observance of the forum rules, the Ban Hammer was finally brought down on me. No reason or justification was given of course. I’m actually surprised I lasted as long as I did.

In celebration of my bannage, I thought I would share with you guys my Top Three Favorite Moments While Arguing with a Mouth-Frothingly Insane CTer:

Coming in at #3 is perhaps my most avid adversary, miragememories. This guy wrote these long, angry responses to my posts that while passionate and containing almost no spelling errors, never had a whole lot to do with the topic at hand.

After several times pointing out to him that no structural engineers in the world support the CT, he claimed it was due to the “influence” of the U.S. government. When I asked him how that accounts for structural engineers in enemy nations such as North Korea, he came back with this gem:

welcome Johnny , to JREF. Yes. it seems that LC attracts a certain type of person, and they provide for comedy gold. Sadly, these are the same people who also interact in daily life. can you imagine how they spend their days?

Welcome to the board. You'll find it more civilized here, I think.

As for the last comment, where you worry about our fear for our families' safety, I think that, while most of us realize that the vast majority of twoofers are pretty whacked in the head, we also know that they are notoriously lazy, and hence not much of a threat in the real world.

And even if they did get angry enough to try something, they'd all get caught trying to sneak thousands of tons of C4 into working office buildings, just to prove it can be done :)

And most of them have a curfew, since they have school the next day. Their moms usually won't let them go too far by themselves, either.
