The `I just got back from TAM4` thread

So I'm back. It's cold here. I miss the blinky lights, the bad food, the noisy slots, and the copious beer. But most of all I miss youse guys.

Great big hugs to TrebleHead, LostAngeles, TK & Phil, ImaginalDisk, Jas, et alii (especially those whose names I don't offhand remember...sorry). You guys all make great buddies. I never could have imagined I'd meet such totally awesome people.

And big thanks to Jeff for his random mojito-induced musings and entertainment. Walking that gawd-awful Strip would never have been as much fun alone.

Hope to see some faces at TAM4.1 in March.

[badpun] It truely was an Amazing meeting. [/badpun]

Dammit! I wanted the choco-cake alien! Though it might be the best choice, as I would have a good chance of losing it. (I gots prollems with all kinds of cakes.)

We met briefly a few times at TAM and the various after-events. If I recall, I think we both had rooms on the same floor (28th) and we talked for a sec in the hallway one morning.

Come to think of it, I was on thee 28th floor

Was I drunk that morning?

I didn't even drink that much at TAM, though I got kinda smashed at the airport on the way home.

If I recall correctly, you've got problems with kobe beef.

Just got back an hour ago. Lost my license in the Vegas airport so I was freaking out some. What the hell, I needed a new license picture anyway. Continental Airlines sucks. Was late on the way out and delayed on the way home and missed my connection in Newark. Did I mention that Continental sucks?

But anywho. I miss all of you so much. It was wonderful meeting everyone, hanging out, and getting crazy. I didn't get to meet everyone (I'm pissed I missed meeting AntiqueHunter!) but every one that I met was great. Such a group is smart, interesting, and yes FUN! people. I can't wait until the next TAM.

And the speakers were great! And so approachable. I love Murray Gell-Mann! It was so cool hanging out with all the big brains at the forum party - Gell-Mann, Shermer, Wiseman, BA. I feel smarter just rubbing shoulders with these people.

Arrived at home at about 4 PM CET yesterday (about 7 AM Las Vegas time) after 21 hours of travel. I am still not quite over my jet lag yet. And did I mention it is awfully cold here? As in, ca. 10°F this morning?

Damn it. I don´t want to be home. I want to be in Vegas with all my buddies.

Wheels down in Cleveland at about 5PM local time today. I believe that makes me the last one home. Not a single delay going to or from Vegas; I'm quite satisfied.
