And my comment was shallow? In terms of ethics and values, there's no one around today, save perhaps the Dalai Lama, who can demonstrate true loving kindness in any practical way.

But all humans are imperfect, so God's demands are impossible to meet. Pretty lousy excuse for a God if he sets demands no one can ever acheive.Oh, but think about what you just said. This is a good example of revealing our need for what Jesus did on the cross. He was the only one that never sinned so His sacrifice was holy and acceptable to God. He died in our place.
To recap: your imaginary friend killed himself to forgive us for the imperfections he created.Oh, but think about what you just said. This is a good example of revealing our need for what Jesus did on the cross. He was the only one that never sinned so His sacrifice was holy and acceptable to God. He died in our place.
...Can't .... resist .... must .... respond....
SOOOOO, if you're god hadn't decided to have you converted by (pick one, as you have stated all three of these as being THE manner in which you found the Lord and have not yet, despite repeated requests, picked one..)
1. An almost fatal car accident
2. A crank addiction
3. Being beaten to a pulp by some guy you were boinking when separated from ChristianDude, your husband
through no fault of your own, as you were created flawed and sinful by your loving god, you would be cast into Hell to burn eternally.
And you have stated repeatedly that NOTHING man does can result in their being saved, the act of salvation only comes from god.
If our unrighteousness reveals God's righteousness to show us our need for salvation and redeption it's all worth it. The things in my past are painful, but they are the past. I have repented of many sins it's true.
God promises to remove our sins which I myself am extremely greatful.
To recap: your imaginary friend killed himself to forgive us for the imperfections he created.
Oh, come now, there's nobody in the public eye, maybe, but that's hardly the same as "no one around." There's probably a fair number of people quietly demonstrating true loving kindness that, lacking video cameras following them around, we don't know about. After all, nowhere in practical true loving kindness is included "and telling everybody about it."
The truth can set you free delphi. Jesus is the truth.
Mistress, what am I? Chopped liver?I need more kitten pictures. Delphi, buddy, I'm counting on you.
Free from what? The truth can set you free delphi. Jesus is the truth.
And yours is just another in those hundreds of ways. You're just as convinced your bogeyman is real as any of those other people. The Encyclopedia of religion and ethics lists hundreds of ways which men have tried to satisfy their religious longings and feelings. They have worshipped the sun, moon, and stars; earth, fire and water; idols of wood, stone and metal; fish, birds and animals. They have worshipped countless gods and spirits which have been the products of their own perverted imagination. Others have attempted to worship the true God through vast variety of sacrifices, ceremonies, sacraments and services.
We humor children that talk this way. I don't know why we humor adults. Grow up.Jesus is not an imaginary friend. He is the way, the truth, and the life!
I live in constant fear of the hotlinking rule.I need more kitten pictures. Delphi, buddy, I'm counting on you.
Jesus never sinned? I don't know about that. Last time I checked, anger is listed as one of the Seven Deadly Sins. See Jesus' Holy Temper Tantrum with the moneychangers in the Temple, or his cursing a poor defenseless fig tree for daring to not bear fruit out of season. But all humans are imperfect, so God's demands are impossible to meet. Pretty lousy excuse for a God if he sets demands no one can ever acheive.Oh, but think about what you just said. This is a good example of revealing our need for what Jesus did on the cross.
