Glenn Beck seems to be unique..the first host of a talk show on a major cable network that is catering his show to the kook audience. Yeah, there are plenty of those on Public Access TV , but this is the first time one of the biggies has pretty much put on a show that is aimed at the Conspriacy Kook crowd.
I think his breaking and down and crying because America is in Danger (because Obama is president) bit was just the beginning.
I have no respect for Beck since he implied in and interview that the first Muslim congressman was working for Al Qaida in an interview.

I haven't had respect for him since they showed advertisements for his program, and I could see what kind of show he had going. Loudmouth idiot on a talkshow, isn't he still sideled up to Nancy Grace, who is also a fool?

Nancy Grace is indeed a obnxious fool (no wonder she got fired as a proscuting attorney, juries must have hated her) but no, Beck is not sideled up to Grace, since Beck moved from HLN to Fox.
He has been replaced by Lou Dobbs, so HNL still has a demogogic, psuedo populist blowhard on.

Pffft... I've seen better acting in high school theater productions.

Go visit Colbert...he crushed Beck in a bit that puts Beck in perfect perspective.

What I don't understand is why so Angry? What is it Beck has been denied that he thinks he should be getting?

Isn't it funny how the "clowns" are often the most powerful voices of sanity? Fifty years from now there will be documentaries made about Stewart and Colbert. They're right up there with Sam Clemens and Will Rogers.

Glenn Beck=major douchebag. He can save all his crocodile tears for St Ronnie Reagan, master of the culture wars and purveyor of "trickle down" economics. You know what else trickles down(hill) don't you...? These wads like Beck and Hannity and Rush and O'Reilly are all just a bunch of romanticizing, dewy-eyed morons who think that everything is soooo perfect when con's are in office. Reagan may have "won" the cold war but in order to do so, he set in motion an economic policy that has finally been shown to have no clothes.

Beck should eat some hemlock and take a nap. He could martyr himself for the cause of "real America."

And now we have the view from the other extreme......

LEAVE GLENN BECK ALONE!!!

He believes in things, damnit. Doesn't that mean anything anymore? WHo cares if it's wrong, it's something.

And if JREF doesn't stop making fun of him, he will surround you, count on it.

Glenn Beck is just like O'Reilly or the other pundits.
He is building a 'persona' that he thinks the public will like and sell it to them.
O'Reilly is widely successful in marketing his 'right wing drunken Irish hobo' skit so Glenn Beck tries to out-right wing patriot him.
Unfortunately, his acting skills lack any sort of subtlety and he comes out as just ridiculous...

I have to disagree with the bad actor sentiment, I think those tears are real.

What separates Beck from O'Reilly and his ilk is that Beck is completely insane. As in "serious chemical imbalance that should be diagnosed soon" insane, not "his views don't make sense" insane.

If I recall he's a reformed alcoholic who found Mormonism. I think his issues run deep.

Sorry, he's just such an insincere jerk. He had no problem with the Bush administration's violations of international law, shredding of the constitution, torture, wasting billions in Iraq, etc and now he's PO'd that Obama is trying to clean up after Dick and Bush's mess? Where was the outrage then? He's not a journalist or a commentator, he's a partisan hack out to rabble-rouse and he doesn't even do it well. The least he could do is try to be more frothy-mouthed (Rush, O'Reilly). Instead, he comes off as this whiny, "Who will think of the children" SOB.

I agree with you about Beck. I just find it amusing you stereotype all conservatives the way Rush and Company stereotype all liberals.

While I don't like Beck, and have no respect for most of his positions, I find myself watching his new show very frequently late at night. It may be just for the schadenfreude aspect to it all, but I think that many of his interviews and his raging passion are hilarious.

Glenn Beck delivers.

I can see your point of "watching him for the laughs", but I find some of the paranoia and bigotry (wait until he gets started on Moselms) to be less then amusing.

I've had a similar reaction when I’ve listened to Beck’s radio show a few times on the way home from work recently. He really seems to get up a head of steam and then the thinking disengages and he falls into conspiracy theories and almost John Burch Society like ravings about the evil liberals and on and on. It’s hard to change the station some times when he goes off, like watching a train wreck I suppose.

To not see that the bazaar superstitious beliefs of Mormonism and Islam aren’t equally strange, odd and repressive is some amazing dissonance.

NOT an April Fool's joke. Apparently.

ETA: So do we want to start a pool for when this guy moves into the 9/11 Truth territory?

Dispatches from wingnutistan, right?

So, Godwin's Law in full effect, yes? Unfortunately, people listen to this tripe and take it seriously. Again, what more can you say than: Glenn Beck is a complete and utter douche. Oh, but it's liberals that are "dangerous" and out to destroy America. Physchotic break wrapped in conspiracy theories.
