There is a theory that the sun is not powered by internal fusion but by electric currents that exist in the galaxy. This started is a plasma cosmology thread but it seems to warrant it's own thread.

http://www.electric-cosmos.org/sun.htm

Gives an overview of the model, if I understand the model then there are a number of perts to it:

1. Star formation is assisted by electrical charges.

2. The sun is not powered by internal fusion but by the sun being positive in a negative current.

3. Heavy elements are not made during nova and supernoae but in a 'z-pinch'.

There are some oethr things that get mentioned as well at various sites:

4. Neutron stars do not exist.

5. Black holes do not exist.

Enjoy.

Bull.

Fusion researchers ARE plasma physicists (pretty much by definition, unless you believe in such things as magic).

I have to call bogus on this - we are way beyond guesswork on how this operates and it makes predictions (good ones). No offense, but no point.

Clearly impossible.

Then is no electric cord.

It would be hard to plug it in.

Home Depot does not sell a big enough switch.

Anyway. Don't you know compact flourescents are better.
