I am starting a thread about this because the Thread on the Brown shooting has become people playing CSI.

The Looting last night was very disheartening. As someone who was appalled by the conduct of the police over the last few nights, I was sad to see that more moderate police method failed.

I have a sick, sick, feeling this could quite literally rip not just Ferguson but this whole country apart. Already the extremists on both sides seem to taking over the debate.

And to the Looters...congratulations. You just gave plenty of ammo to the "BLacks are a bunch of savages" posters that have broken out over the internet like a bad case of measles over the last few days.

I am beginning to t hink this country has gone over the edge.

On the on hand cops who arrest reporters and act like this was combat zone;on the other a bunch of punks who are using the Brown tragedy as a excuse to loot and burn. Sickening.

And REAL congratulations to the protestors who tried to stop the looters last night.

Looting my Arse! No one loots in Missouri (well...not unless they want to end up with a lot of extra holes). Don't believe everything you see in the news.

Yes, congratulations to those who risked themselves trying to stop the looting. Brave. Braver than me, I'd be somewhere far away from that kind of trouble.

It ain't just a black thing, rioting. Locally before I arrived here the mostly white kids at MSU rioted after winning a game, starting fires and overturning cars.

Cooler heads will prevail... but there again, difficult times like these produce men like MLK, the best person for his climate. We need a person,a true social leader like that again.

As someone who lives in a neighborhood where something like this could realistically occur, I think the media might devote some small iota of attention to the opinions of the population likely targeted by the rioters.
It is quite easy to comment upon the heavy handedness of the police when it is not your home, livelihood, and life's work the rioters are coming to destroy.

FWIW, I was raised in Southwest Detroit, and currently reside in a racially mixed neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia, I do have a lifetime of first-hand experience with racial tension.

So, the video of people breaking through the doors of a liquor store, running in, grabbing boxes and bottles, and running out again - staged? Photoshop? False flag?

It might not be terribly widespread, but some looting is pretty clearly happening.

We live 5.3 miles from Ferguson City Hall. My wife drives through there to get to work.

Then maybe you know:

Are the public official..from the mayor on down..of Ferguson really as clueless and stupid as they have come off as over the past few days?

Damned right it was staged.

I wouldn't believe anything on TV...just don't.

It doesn't take brains, cunning or guts to guard a freakin' store armed with a high-powered rifle - a virtual "Thor's Hammer" even in a sea of handguns. For whatever stupid reason, this store was left unguarded. What...did the police stop the guy from guarding his store? Don't bet this wasn't the case.

Over in the Brown discussion thread, we are already getting some hints that all the photos and footage of Brown in the Quik Stop were faked by the police.....

Pretty of crackpots on both sides of the debate here.

Don't be ridiculous.

The patrons merely required after hours access. Undoubtedly, they left their payment for goods and damages clearly on the counter.

So now you are swiping crap from the 9/11 Truthers?

We aren't that far apart, (Globally speaking) I shop over there with some regularity. The closest Toys R Us, Harbor Freight and Crispy Cream are all right there. I've bought gas at the Ex-Quick Trip (That was only a year or so old, by the way, and Quick Trip has said they have no plans on replacing it ether.) and shopped in the Walmart, Dollar Tree and Big Lots that are also right there. Up the road in Flo Valley (Cross Keys Plaza), was my primary stomping grounds, some 35 plus years ago. So I know the area too.
