The Deniers will really get upset about "Denial"..

This thread is about a film. General holocaust denial posts go, as always, in the main thread and I have therefore moved a couple of posts to there.

In the movie, and in reality, the first time Irving and Lipstadt met was at a lecture given by Lipstadt. Irving himself made a vid discussing the encounter, and it is instructive to see how the accounts differ .... you can see Irving's vid here ...

Denial also wasn't in very wide release (648 theaters at its widest release, compared to 2,419 theaters for even the crappy super-niche Evangelical film God's Not Dead 2). The box office totals also don't include non-US theaters, since it hasn't opened anywhere else besides Israel and Italy.

God's not dead 2 - but we just pulled his oxygen and shot him up with cyanide!!!!

Irrelevant.

Irving lost his court case - his opinion on this encounter with Lipstadt is not germane to the facts.

The deniers were indeed upset, and as evidence we have the vid linked below, a vicious attack on the movie, but it does have some funny and telling moments featuring the beautiful and sexy Kate Winslett and the funny Ricky Gervais, right at the beginning .... Winslett won the academy award, as well as the golden globe, for 'The Reader'.

Rachel Weisz was on my list of freebees for a long time. She got pushed out by Gal Gadot. In fact, everyone on my list is Jewish, married and has children except for Anna Kendrick.

I'm old is my point.

Soooooooo- the evangelicals lied on film at least twice!!!!!!!!!:jaw-dropp:jaw-dropp:jaw-dropp

I have all the respect in the world for Deborah Lipstadt, but there is one inaccuracy in the film's casting: Weisz is a lot prettier then Lipstadt.

I know what you mean. I was really upset when they got Jesse Eisenberg to play me in The Social Network. I absolutely do not look that Jewish.
