The Bush Library

Regardless what the library does or doesn't contain, it will be unique in that it will present the worst POTUS in history.

(The only presidential library I've visited is the Reagan library. It should be called the Nancy Reagan library. The amount of floor space and signage devoted to "Nancy Reagan -- A First Lady's Style" is laughable. Also Reagan's children with wife #1 were noticeably absent. Next year the Nixon library.)

The boo-hoo-hooing is not what I expect from you, Cat. Perhaps you'd like to do your homework about the warning signs that were present. In response to these warnings, little Bush did this: Nothing.

So are you not going to provide evidence for your claim and suggest others to do the research for you?

He modified Daylight Savings Time.

Heck of a job, Bushie.

Good point !

Say what you will about the man, his victory over the Sun, forcing it to set an hour later for those additional few weeks is a superhuman accomplishment worthy of Zeus.

Before the election of Obama, Bush promoted the elevation of African-Americans (Rice and Powell) to the highest office (Sec of State) in US history.

I will give him that. He may be a dumb as a box of rocks, never been curious about the world outside the U.S, proud to be none too edumacated, redneck, but he is certainly no racist.
Gonzales as AG also points to this.
However Gonzales as AG isn't something he would probably want you pointing to.
He also seemed genuinely moved when talking about Obamas election. One wonders to what extent the last eight years would have been different if Shrubster had turned down that guy that Cheney put forward as VP and listened to a wider range of people now and then.

Somehow I think a George W. Bush Presidential Library will be high on my list of "1000 Places You Shouldn't Bother Visiting Before Dying" ....

Charlie (I hope it ends up in Crawford) Monoxide

If I may make some suggestions?

  • A specially made edition of "Where's Waldo" entitled "Where's Osama?"
  • A specially edited version of the Bible he likes to thump, with all the inconvenient bits like rich men, camels through needles eyes, judge not, Caesar's due, thou shalt not kill, not praying on the street corner, meek shall inherit, turning the other cheek, and many more blacked out with a big fat marking pen.
  • The Bartender's Bible.
  • A Heimlich maneuver poster.
  • A copy of the DSM bookmarked at Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

I expect a large exhibit on the NWHI marine park. I fully expect a mention in that exhibit on how the antiquities act was used to bypass the congressional obstruction of the past 8 years regarding energy/environmental policy.

Kennedy didn't have an earlier president to learn from. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Truman and Eisenhower had a bubble top on a Lincoln, so he could have learned from them. In fact, Kennedy could of used the same car. Just thought I'd throw that out there.;)

A few things: Massive aid boost to Africa, negotiations with Libya, removal of a tyrant, free elections in Afghanistan and Iraq, stopping several credible terrorist attacks from occurring on US soil. There are probably other things I'm forgetting. If you open your hate filled eyes you might see that Bush isn't the devil and did some positive things that he should be remembered for. And I am no fan of Bush. I'm just not an ideologue.
Basically what you said. I'm no fan of Bush, but I still think he will find several things to include. Notice though, that there is little to no domestic achievements in what you listed.
