Wasn't very big. Even Chip Denman said Randi may have oversold it when, at the opening reception, he stated an announcement would come on the last day that would should make us all very happy.

Chip: Randi is retired, but the Million Dollar Challenge will continue. We are looking into ways to make it easier for us to manage. Also, the JREF will begin awarding grants to educational initiatives they deem worthy. No formal application process as of yet.

Also, regarding TAM 2016...

Randi: See you next year.

Nothing about new JREF principals, board members, etc.

It was still good to know that, apparently, the show will go on. Also, I seem to remember Randi hinting at plans to perhaps have a TAM at Singapore - as an extra event, in addition to the TAM at Vegas.

I think this was when Randi was speaking to us at the volunteer lunch. So it seems Randi, at least, has no intention of letting TAM fall by the wayside.

Would like to know that if, at some unforeseen day in the future I should find myself in possession of sufficient funds to attend again, TAM would still be there. It's been a really great experience. :)

I asked George Hrab about Randi's hint and he said he did not know. There's no official info.

I'm fairly sure it was Randi who talked about it, but can't rule out that I might be misremembering, and it was someone else. Have to check with another volunteer, if and when I bump into one.

Maybe Randi was leaking top secret info. :boxedin:

Hope it'll turn out to be true.

Talked to Jade (another volunteer), and she remembered Randi talking about it. She got the impression that it was just a very preliminary idea of what the JREF might do in the future.

The conference is over, unfortunately. All good things have to end, I guess. :(

Packing up, catching a flight back home tomorrow - a loooooooooooong day/night of travelling ahead.

Colour me completely unsurprised.

Promised since about 2007. Still promising. They did release some appallingly amateurish .pdfs once upon a time.

What a crock. Or is that crook?
