The Biden Presidency

It sounds like the voice says, "so just so you know my life, as we're waiting to do this, I just agreed to a plea sentence for a guy..." That sounds like something a lawyer or possibly a judge would say.

It appears to be the voice of Xavier Becerra, the California Attorney General who was nominated (and just confirmed) as Secretary of Health and Human Services. It sounds like him. It is the type of thing an attorney general might say. Biden was just saying the people joining him and VP Harris, which included Becerra.

In the video of the same event below from CNBC you can see that where the voice comes in in the White House video, this video pans out and shows some people on a screen for something like a zoom meeting. The person in the lower right is Becerra. You can see that he was talking at the time the voice kicks in on the other video.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that version of the video. The voice sounds exactly like Xavier Becerra.

For an example of his voice, his opening statement starts at approximately 00:23:50 here:

What we have is the entire Right side of the political spectrum and about.... 10-15% of the the still butthurt parts of the Left that don't understand that a President being boring is a good thing.

The President not being in the news everything isn't a bug to be fixed. We all get that right?

Amen.

SO IT IS Biden, who’s really Trump, who swapped bodies with Biden, who they want to replace with Trump, who’s Biden...

The United States and China publicly rebuked each other in the first face-to-face talks between senior officials from the two countries since Joe Biden took office, with one senior US official accusing their counterparts of being “intent on grandstanding” and “violating protocol”.

The strained relations of the global rivals were put on rare public display in Alaska on Thursday during a highly unusual extended back-and-forth in front of the cameras when US secretary of state Antony Blinken and national security adviser Jake Sullivan opened their meeting with China’s top diplomat Yang Jiechi and State Councilor Wang Yi.

“We will ... discuss our deep concerns with actions by China, including in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan, cyber attacks on the United States, economic coercion of our allies,” Blinken said in blunt public remarks at the start of the first meeting. “Each of these actions threaten the rules-based order that maintains global stability,” he said.

There's fresh video of Biden stumbling twice, and then falling on his way up the steps to Air Force One. Not a big deal, and possibly due to his recently sprained ankle.

Only worth mentioning because the right is almost certain to jump all over this as signs of Biden's physical decline. And to be fair, if there was identical video of Trump doing the same, I'm pretty sure many here would have shown no mercy, either.

How about Putin debates Mr. Navalny first and allows for free and fair elections in Russia first ?

He could slither up the steps he would still be better than Trumpturd.

They seem to be blaming strong winds for it.

Yes, people would certainly criticize Stubby McBonespurs if he had the same thing happen to him.

I think there is a differences however: Trump is out of shape and is not an active person. On the other hand, Biden is known for being relatively fit... regularly engaging in exercise (e.g. bike rides, etc.) Because of that, its much easier to see Biden's trip as just an accident. (heck, prior to his slip, Biden was actually going up the stairs at a pretty good pace.)

I suppose it should not be an entire surprise even if he did stumble. He's not young. I don't pick up my feet or balance as well as I used to either, but that's not by itself a sign of anything but getting old.

I am well under 60, and I sometimes stumble when going up or down stairs. It happens...

I stubbed my toe on a couch leg yesterday

Think how much more senile it looks to be unable to close an umbrella, or to walk up those stairs unaware there is toilet paper stuck on your shoe (mind you that had to have been there before and during the limo ride unless the limo has a toilet). Too fat to see his shoes?

You beat me to it, I think. Personally, I probably wouldn't criticize a stumble, from Trump or pretty much anyone else. Stumbles happen even when people are otherwise perfectly healthy. All it takes is a moment of distraction, really. Trump's predictable ensuing antics would fairly certainly be very worthy of criticism, but not so much any stumble. The umbrella and shoe TP incidents, on the other hand... shoe TP makes for a classic ineptness joke, while the umbrella incident was pretty much just a WTF moment.

Video here:

It actually looks like he was trying to go up the stairs too fast. After he tripped, he walked up more slowly.

As a total outsider who doesn't care who the US prez is, I would just point out from what I have seen, if that were Trump, The Trump haters on here would have been all over it like a rash.
