MSM (New York Times) Already Helping Next Administration Hide Corruption Under ‘Diversity’ Banner

There has never been a better time to be a woman, minority or member of the LGBT community who works in the DC establishment and thinks the poor should be made into pet food.

The New York Times has published an article titled “Could Limiting Corporate Candidates Hurt Biden’s Diversity Push?”, for the benefit of all those normal everyday readers who’ve been lying awake at night wondering if limiting corporate candidates might hurt Biden’s diversity push.

The article's authors warn against the nonexistent, completely imaginary threat of the next presidential administration rejecting corporatists for cabinet positions to appease the Democratic Party's progressive wing, claiming that doing so would be "narrowing the candidate pool" in a way that hurts Biden's stated aim of creating an administration that is as diverse as America.

Because apparently executive positions in the corporate and financial sector are the only place you can find ethnic minorities in America.

I wonder why they are not doing their job?? Could it be they are not journalists ymore, but the mouthpiece of the left now??

What exactly do you think their job is? Have you watched the press conferences? I have. What I've seen are direct answers to direct questions.

But keep in mind there is very little substance you could ask him at this moment. You should also acknowledge that Trump hasn't taken questions from the press since before the election. Trump's schedule has aso been empty. Talk about someone not doing their job.

Regardless of how corrupt Trump was or the fact that it was pretty much the same as previous Presidents, Biden simply doing more of the same shows that he must want more trumpiness, because this is how you get more trumpiness.

It's certainly not a good look after all of that effort to barely get him a victory.

Yeah, because all previous presidents have violated the emoluments clause. Or had leaders of their campaign spend time behind bars. Or did not put their portfolio in a blind trust. Etc. Etc.

Yeah, they're all the same.

Biden off to a rocky start with the candidates he's reportedly looking at.

Hopefully he makes picks that don't alienate millions of progressives who helped him into office.

I guarantee you he will. Otherwise he will alienate others. You cant satisfy everyone on everything.

Hmm... would appointing people who aren't lobbyists/CEOs & such really "alienate" anybody? I've never gotten the impression that even those who do make corrupt appointments actually did it on a principle that that's the right thing to do. (But maybe they could object in private on the grounds that the one non-corrupt appointer was making them look worse?)

When do we think that house Republicans will start impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden for election fraud ?

I think he needs to be impeached for dereliction of duty for the riots and the complete razing to the ground of several cities, then he can be impeached for his failure to do anything about the pandemic.

Pretty much day 1 some Republican Representative will at least get the ball rolling.

It will be a dead on arrival nothing burger since the GOP doesn't have anywhere near the numbers in the House, but someone will try.

Easiest thing will be to put up a board so people can just write on it what today's impeachment is for, they can then wipe it clean for the next day's.

But like I've said before I get the sinking feeling in my gut that "Impeach" will become just another tool in the political toolkit instead of means of last resort, like government shutdowns and the filibuster.

It will, obviously, vary depending on the political power of the parties involved but I get the impression that for a few decades at least the opposing party will try to impeach the President, pushing the process as far as they can even if their level of political power means that "as far as they can" can't amount to much more then "Bringing it up a lot."

The issue comes if the Republicans control House and Senate. They can simply impeach and convict the President and vice President and install the speaker of the House instead overturning the result of the election.

Well conviction in the Senate (and removal from office ) requires more than a simple majority... Given the divided nature of American politics, the republicans are unlikely to gain enough senate seats (even if the democrats have a bad midterm election).

More likely they will try repeated impeachments just as a tactic to try to embarrass the democrats, and/or disrupt the government.

It's only fair, it is their turn to impeach!

Will become? Can you name a US President that did not have claims he should be impeached from at least one member of Congress? Almost all have been.
