The standard approval process for a new drug takes years. The vaccines have been approved under Emergency Use Authorizations after extensive testing. The fact that the standard process was bypassed is what gives rise to the talking point. I would say the fact that 55+ million Americans have been vaccinated with essentially no ill effects is pretty strong evidence.

And it should be noted that for a lot of the anti-pharma crowd, the talking point used to be that the FDA deliberately took too long to approve new drugs, so that people would keep dying rather than be allowed to use new treatments, because Bid Pharma or whoever still wanted to sell the old drugs, or something.

So it really doesn't matter how fast or slow they approve something, someone will complain about it.

Ironically, it's the same people.

It was Trump who was pushing the FDA to approve people to use drugs ahead of approval. Now the Trumpies are unhappy because the FDA is allowing a vaccine without it being tested long enough.

If Biden is getting senile, all the extremely qualified people he hired will have to do their job.

Unlike Trump who insisted to make ll the final decisions himself on subjects he wasn't qualified for.

Just heard my favorite radio program and it's a call in program and the question posed was: Will Joe make it thru the 4 yrs...the general consensus was NO, and one woman compared him to where her mother with Alzheimers and she said he's at about an 8, I don't know the degrees. Many said he basically drags his feet across the floor on his short walks. I see no TV as I don't watch it anymore.

It's tragic, he's been failing for years and they all knew it.

I believe it's a matter of time and just what the drugs they are giving him does. Then it's President Harris and VP Pelosi (another oldie).:rolleyes:

I know I generally leave medical evaluations to call-in shows whose audience is comprised of political rivals. That sounds like a good, sound source.
 
Not being American I don't often see or hear Biden speak, but I did watch the Inauguration. I saw no sign of physical or mental impairment.

Biden tends to to speak slowly, and methodically as part of his coping with a stutter.

In right-wing nuttery land, this means he's in the end stages of dementia/Alzheimers, and thus The Chosen One actually won the election.

I think call in shows are not a great source of medical diagnoses.

I think people who believe they are a good source should not be allowed to operate heavy machinery.
