Cont: The Biden Presidency (4)

Who are the “very fine people” who attend a white supremacists rally?

My opinion of who was and who wasn't "very fine people" does not matter.

Trump qualified his statement by saying that there were 2 groups protesting the removal of the statue. Some were neo-Nazis and white nationals, some who were not.

The people he believed were not Neo-Nazis and white nationalists is who said were very fine.

You are fooling no one.

Nope. Zero. When I first heard the report the Trump called neo-Nazis and white nationalists "very fine people" during a press conference, in public, I went to YouTube and found a video of the press conference and watched it.

As suspected, the lying ****lib media was doing what they do. He said the opposite.

"I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, okay?"

I see. To be clear, this very much is you taking issue with the usage of Trump's "very fine people" quote. In exactly the way that I was asking sir drinks-a-lot about, no less. His claim that Harris called Biden a racist bears a similar flaw, after all. It's just much more egregious, both in proximity and in how well the underlying issues are represented there.

Yes, Trump “qualified” his statement. Or to put it another way, Trump backpedaled to give himself plausible deniability. The only problem is that this other group that Trump was supposedly referring to doesn’t actually exist. Other than that, it was a perfect save.

But it’s good that you conceded the point because there is no rational argument to be made for anyone at a white supremacist rally qualifying as “very fine people” and it was embarrassing watching you try.

Biden deporting more than Trump.
https://www.reuters.com/graphics/USA-ELECTION/MIGRATION-DEPORTATIONS/akpeoeoerpr/

reuters: In June, Biden implemented a sweeping, new asylum ban aimed at quickly deporting more recent border crossers to their home countries or Mexico.

Even with the tougher border policy, Biden has continued to work to protect longer-term immigrants in the U.S. illegally, including through a new effort also announced in June that would ease the path to citizenship for hundreds of thousands of people married to U.S. citizens.

another example of the old US tradition of: "if the law doesn't suit us, we will find ways to make sure no one gets to invoke it".
Biden is just following the example of the SC.

Job Biden created NATO.

"George, I'm the guy that put NATO together. The future. No one thought I could expand it."

Not only is this guy sharp as a tack and a combination of Winston Churchill and Albert Einstein – behind closed doors out of the view of the public – he created one of the most powerful alliances known to man when he was 6 years old.

They may be close to dumping Biden. However, Trump gets to speak at his convention. Democrats will keep that "I did it" moment from Trump. By the 19th Biden is out. His funding just disappeared.

Major Donors are withholding money until Biden steps down.

It's a relief to know that this election, too, will be decided by the Super-Rich and not some democratic nonsense.

Joe "Pedo Peter" Biden is going to Ginsburg the democrat party. This is gonna be so much fun.

Gosh, these ploated blutocrats make themselves look politically powerful by doing nothing.

I think they're just a pack of puny little stinkbugs. By contrast, I am currently withholding a cool, round, very influential one hundred billion dollars in gold* from the GOP until they throw Trumph off a high bridge into deep water cruised by uncommonly hungry sharks.

Look for me on Time's special edition cover issue.

* Okay, some of it will be backed by cocaine and slaves. I know my market.

WIthout getting into the right or wrong of it, I would not care to bet a lot of money on that happening.
And guaratneed, you will be attacking whoever replaces Biden for not being far enough to the left.

I think Biden should step down, but I find some of the joy at this by some of the 'Progressives" who never forgave Biden for beating Bernie in the primaries to be pretty annoyning.

I think there is a lesson that we should have learned before:

An Incumbent will always think they are the best Candidate.

Parties are not doing themselves a favor by basically giving their incumbents more or less a Free Pass during nominations.
Because the bias is so great to just "stick with what you know" and hopefully ride on the free publicity the Office provides, the decision must be that a 2nd term Candidate at the very least needs to have a clear alternative.

Christopher Luxon has no concerns about Joe Biden's ability to lead US if re-elected
Christopher Luxon says he has no concerns about US President Joe Biden's ability to lead, should he be re-elected.

Luxon told media on Friday morning (NZ time) he has had a couple of "lovely" but informal interactions with Biden, praising his "great sense of humour".

As for Biden's ability to serve a second term as president if re-elected, Luxon said he "really enjoyed" his interactions with the 81-year-old.

"We were able to talk about issues across the Indo-Pacific and the Pacific Islands in particular… my interactions were very positive and very engaging."

Asked directly if Biden was "sharp", Luxon said "yes, absolutely".
"Off the interactions I had, they were excellent interactions. He was on top of his brief, we had a positive interaction. [His potential in ability to serve] was not a consideration that I had."

But hey, what does New Zealand's prime minister know about the situation (he's probably just lying to maintain good relations). Might be better for Luxon to court Trump, since he's now a shoe-in whichever way it goes with Biden - unless liberals all come together to choose the same Democrat candidate whoever that is - and what are the chances of that?

I’ll give him a week to pick up. Then I will quit complaining about possible quitting. This is going quite nicely with the GOP convention. Biden can grab a lot of news during the Milwaukee nazi rally. “Biden shows remarkable recovery.”

That’s super. The fact remains that the rate of inflation and unemployment were higher under Reagan at this point in his presidency than they are under Biden right now. And all the rationalizations you manufacture for Reagan that you never would for Biden don’t change that.
That Reagan "trickle down"was the biggest coin ever pulled on conservative America. The poor patriots that voted for it just got poorer. The trickle was purely imaginary.

It's thr 19th and Biden is still not out.
