And so much for the "weak" and "a wimp" accusations about Biden which were made by some of the Berniebros here.
 
Deeds, not words. A skeptics' forum is a weird place to see people going all kpop stan over a mere political speech.

I like the timing, though. It's almost as if they knew the student loan forgiveness would be bad policy and a damp squib on the PR front, and lined up a lovebomb of red meat to shore up the TDS bloc of party.

In case you have not been keeping up, Trump basically called the Jan 6th Insurrecionist heros.

I can't believe this garbage spin. The student loan forgiveness is not only good policy, it's good politics.

It's about time he started taking the gane to the MAGACHUDS.

I think it's more than a 'mere political speech' Recently, Biden has been explicitly drawing a line in the sand and saying "you are with us or against us" And it has obviously struck a nerve, cause the MAGA pundits on twitter and other platforms are going *ballistic* over this speech, saying Biden is basically a communist dictator. Which, of course, is the Trumpists chief tactic--label the opposition the exact thing you are accused of and trying to hide. The Trumpists are all trying to make it an "us against them" speech by insisting that Biden has declared war "on half the country" What they of course ignore is that it really is not 1/3 or even 1/4th of the country he is waging war against--it is only the MAGA Trumpists! And so, the line is very clearly drawn--either you dissavow the true wannabe dictator or you embrace authoritarian rule. There's no danger of losing reasonable conservatives or Republicans running because by definition anyone who embraces Trumpism is unreasonable, it is as clear as a spherical earth.
 
Biden needs a liberal bulldog who is pragmatic enough to look past the differences and focus on attacking and discrediting the enemy. Someone who can keep his eyes on the ball and doesn't get distracted from the plan. A Steve Bannon of the Democrats.

I can't quite be sure, but it seemed like he was sometimes adding a subtle glottal stop to "MAGA", making it sound like "MAGAt", or of course "maggot". Of course, it may just be the McGurk/Laurel-Yanney effect, or my own projection.
 
I know the new meme is all "Dark Brandon" and stuff, but the setup for that latest speech made it look a lot like Snoke's throne room.

(eta -- I thought I might be the first one to come up with this, a Google search didn't find anything. But it's all over Twitter. Still, I thunk it up on my own.)

Oh Please the GQP gave us a President too Stupid to understand the holes though paper Punch cards, that took advice from a 9/11No Planer and Racist, That I debunked at request of RTV personally. TDS is really logical People not Wanting Treason against the United States by Radical people like Trump and Stewart Rhodes.

Actions will come. Attitude is important. I don't know for sure what's been driving the change in Democrats over the past few weeks. I suspect it's realizing the SCOTUS abortion ruling is going to hand them the midterm on a platter, but it could be as simple as an intern sneaking into Joe Manchin's office and stealing their balls back from his desk drawer.

Whatever the case, I'm happy to see it after two full years of yelling at them to get their asses in gear. My only worry (which I think you share) is it's all going to result in some bill called the "Biden Fixes Everything Act" that doesn't actually do much of anything but how dare we be divisive for saying so, but it doesn't help anything to grumble about it before it arrives. Give him a chance to put his money where his mouth now is.

The wingnuts were calling Biden weak and wimpy, now they are complaining he's coming on too boldly and strong. The opinions of republican politicians don't matter, hey will complain about anything Biden says no matter what.

Just to poke at this a little, TDS is not logical pretty much by definition. That Trump/Republican defenders misused the concept widely and wildly to try to hand wave away a host of very legitimate concerns doesn't actually make TDS logical. It just makes those who invoke it deeply suspect given how consistently the term was misused.

Probably the only acutely serious one right now, for that matter. The forces behind it that have been creating the underlying conditions for it aren't so acute, however serious the threat they pose.

It's amazing how crazy the right wing is going on about Biden's speech last night. They're saying Biden is using fascist words and speech rhetoric. You know, asking people to vote out enemies of the state is what dictators do. Republicans are always the victim, even though they are the ones actually taking measures to destroy democracy.
