The Biblical Realities of Hell

But what in the world makes you think that Fundies are not intelligent?

Maybe they're easily fooled, rather than not intellligent.

I have seen wonders that you won't ever understand or accept, doesn't mean you are not intelligent just that you won't believe, and I wouldn't tell a atheist freind of mine to****off.

Please share with us the wonders you've seen. Wouldn't it be God's wish for you to share that with us?

God, what and which god, there are so many, and not one of them tells us anything about the real world.

Paul

:) :) :)

Horse pututty.
What God has shown me about the real world is that he is here, with all of us.
Plus not to hold my trust in it.
It will kill me before I have a chance of getting out of here.

Na most of them are super straight and unwilling to roll with the changes.

What you want evidence?

As soon has you use the word "god" in a sentence tells us you have learned nothing.

I like the first part of what you said up there, but even with the data I still can see God.
I would never tell anyone to **** off over this.

It's more correct to say a fundamentalist lacks intellectual integrity. To be one you have to purposefully ignore contradictory evidence. You'd have to accept that the Big Book of Fairy Stories is correct and inerrant which is a in intellectually dishonest act.

Generally I'll only tell a fundy to **** off if they're trying to jam their beliefs down my throat (like trying to teach their little fairy stories in school). What they do on their weekends is their business.

I doubt that. I'd ask you to provide evidence, but experience shows that it's not one of your strong points.

This is for Paul’s so called wife.
Please come in here for at least one post.
So we can read your opinion alone.
It'll only take a minute; I have a question for you. If you want to answer a question for maybe a second post. I'll bet he's got here mummified in a corner somewhere, metaphorically.

What, do you think in your wildest dreams that you can say that she hasn't heard before and now sees the big holes in them.

Paul

She was Catholic right?
And you two, supposed two, are foreigners one generation in right?

I can tell from his posts that he is a chauvinist.

As a lurker who knows very little about either of you, this is coming across has petty harresment. Please stop.

For the record my wife couldn't care less about participating in my skeptical interests and won't be posting anytime soon either - and she won't rise to name-calling so that tactic won't work.

Btw, since my name isn't "adindraco" and you have only my word for it that I'm even male, can we be sure that Paul's wife hasn't been on the forums? Sure his replies to your initial assumption seems to indicate otherwise, but it was still quite an assumption in the first place.

Start showing quotes displaying lies/chauvinism because it's starting to come across as harresment and I'm going to start reporting posts such as these (if I'm over-reacting, someone other than edge let me know).

You are over reacting.
I really want to talk to her, to see what made her change her mind exactly, since he brought that up?
I didn't.
It's not like I want to take up much of her time, but it might be relevant.

Considering you've just been making unpleasant insinuations about her husband, why on earth would she want to talk to you?

Fair enough, but calling him a liar and a chauvinist because his wife isn't doing what you want her to do is not on. Polite, reasoned requests clarifying what you want to know and why would be more useful and if Paul replies with a "she's aware of your request but isn't going to participate" then so be it. I've used interactions with my daughter and wife as examples or to make points but I'm not going to force them to participate and I'm not to use Paul's mention of his wife as an excuse to make demands and call foul on him for not bowing to them. If Paul's wife won't come to the party, make a polite reasoned request for Paul's opinion in clarifying her position and cut out the passive-aggressive "so-called" rubbish.

Sorry Paul if I seem to be speaking for you - I'm really trying not to.

This also. That's what probably got me riled up - I'm been trying to explain to my young daughter recently that getting angry and having a go at the person you want something from is probably not a good tactic. When she makes angry noises because I don't immediately agree to buy her something I launch into a discussion about whether she thinks that her reaction makes me more or less likely to buy it. For some reason this annoys her.
