The Bible done with Legos

Is it me, or is the LEGO man representing God looking extremely angry all the time? It's like he's thinking, "******* irritating obligations! All I want is to relax, but nooooo... I have to make the Earth and stuff! Who needs worshippers anyway?"

I find it funny that so many churches and religious organizations have requested to use the illustrations.

I agree. although it seems to be faithful to the bible (I haven't actually read too much of it, so I can't personally confirm that), it is obvious that he has done it in such a way that it portrays the bible in a rather negative way.

They must have missed the whole point of the site... :D
What's even more funny is the Amazon reviews the book releases are getting, which keep slamming the stories for being "unfitting to children":

"[Title:] This book is not what it seems! Warning for parents.
This book, and the corresponding website, is written by an atheist, and the website contains disturbing Lego "creations" by the author that young children should not be exposed to. How irresponsible for this author to use children to advance his agenda regarding his lack of belief in God."

"I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas (He lives for Legos!). I ended up returning it before I gave it too him because it was pretty scary! I know the bible is full of violent things, but it's hard to see the minifigs drowning, bleeding, dying, being sacrificed and so on. I thought this would be perfect for a kid who loves legos, but I think it would have given him nightmares! Maybe OK for teenagers."

"Please - don't buy this book thinking that you're going to teach your children about the bible. I'm not a devout Christian in any way and I found this book offensive. It's almost pornographic in its depictions of some of the scenes. Plus - I don't think that this is in the Bible - "Why to keep the law? Because God will drink coffee over your dead body if you don't."Buy this book if you want - but don't buy it thinking that this is a book appropriate for Children or those wanting to learn about the Bible."

Righty, books depicting gruesome stories are not for children. Glad to have that sorted out. I don't understand the last sentence above, though... how, exactly, are these stories not for people who want to learn about the Bible? They're more-or-less verbatim transcripts of Bible passages, in a format that is very easy to digest. Sure, it's got a satirical tone, but it's an excellent starting point, and it's not really any different from the countless books out there from Christian organizations that cherry-pick the Bible to give it a better image.
