Merry Christmas to all you skeptical fans of the Beatles. Boy do I have a treat for you:

The Beatles Never Broke Up

On Sept. 9, 2009 I experienced something that I still am having trouble believing happened to me. I came into the possession of a cassette tape containing a Beatles album that was never released. In fact, not only was it never released but it was recorded many years after they broke up (and no I'm not talking about Klaatu).

He took a look at the machine near the window and looked back at me and said he transported me into parallel Earth. He said he traveled to our Earth dimension and found me knocked out in the blazing heat with nobody around to help me out. Normally he said he doesn't take outsiders through a portal but in my case he thought I needed urgent help.

tl;dr

* guy gets dragged into a parallel dimension

* in this alternate dimension, John was never killed, and the Beatles stayed together through the 70's and beyond

* as "proof" of this claim, the author provides the complete album "Everyday Chemistry" which he claims was produced by the Beatles in the alternate future.

As a skeptic, I feel it is my duty to rain on the parade, and explain the trick:

Track One: Four Guys

What we are listening to here is a rather clever mash-up of George Harrison's "When We Fab" combined with McCartney/Wings "Band on the Run". This wanna-be John Titor mixed together some of their solo work, added a clever back story, and released it just for us.

If you are a Beatles fan, check this out. I think these are some fairly excellent mash-ups, and the loony tunes back story is simply icing on the cake.

Ha! A college friend of mine had this album, he and I at the time swallowed it hook line and sinker, As a matter of fact, I didn't know it was a hoax until now. It was actually a pretty good album, fake or not.

It's all true, and John Lennon and George Harrison are still alive as well; they are recording their next album on my 4-track cassette deck in my basement as we speak.

Well, I believe it to be true... he even has a FAQ section...

If I entered a parallel universe and managed to know that there are ways of building machines to navigate in those same universes and if, on top of it all, I even had the EVIDENCE to prove it, the first I'd do would be making a site on the Internet. No, I wouldn't go to NASA and try to have meetings with all kinds of scientists and scholars in order to try and make some sense of my experience...

No, I would definetily settle with the website...

Hoax aside, the music is really really good. I don't know the original songs, so I don't know how different they are from the original ones...
