Based on what, exactly? What the government claims?

Plus your version of events requires the government to have been conspiring to commit this atrocity since the seventies at least, though it would very likely require a much larger time span than that. You have any idea just how unlikely that sounds to an objective listener?

Planning the 9/11 attacks since the 70s? What on earth are you talking about? My version only requires the government to have been secretly funneling money to Al-Qaeda over a period of years. Nothing more, nothing less. The rest is just your own straw man.

And all the private, independent, international parties who also investigated the incident were just playing along? Why would they do that, SHC?

First of all, it's an unfounded assumption that these parties were "independent". Second of all, none of them would have had the same kind of access to evidence of U.S. government culpability that the U.S. government would have.

Except, as has been pointed out to you repeatedly, that the government/Jews were never primary suspects.

Well, they should have been, based on the answer to the simple question "qui bono?". Both the Israeli and U.S. governments had much to gain from the attacks, and definitely far more than Al-Qaeda gained.

Expanded domestic powers (Patriot Act)
Increased defense and other government spending
War
Expansion of empire/dominion abroad (military bases)
Greater control of/influence over foreign resources and markets (oil, natural gas, rare earth minerals, etc...)
Economic considerations (protection of petrodollar system)

You believe the U.S. government didn't fund Al-Qaeda, I do. You can't prove your belief and I can't prove mine.

It certainly didn't hurt, did it? The events of 9/11 paved the way for wholesale changes in both U.S. foreign and domestic policy. Many of these changes wouldn't have been possible without some large catalyzing event to make them palatable to the masses.

Where do you see the terms "plan", "9/11", or "for forty years" in that statement?

No, those words do not appear in your proclaimed belief which has zero effect on reality. But since the Al-Qaeda was created in the seventies and you believe that the government had a hand in creating the Al-Qaeda it naturally follows you believe this was all forty or more years in the making. Following me so far?

You know. Yesterday someone posted a great 2 part video from Al Jazera about how AQ came about. OBL didn't receive anything from the US in Afghanistan. OBL was supplying the Mujahideen with Arab fighters and money. The US was supplying the Mujahideen with Stingers. They worked separately with the same 3rd party for different reasons.

This isn't new stuff.
