That Day In Fall - Complete Finally!

That... ack.

Let me explain something.

A: Element A exists
B: Prove it.

yes, A has to prove it

A: Element A exists.
B: Element B doesn't exist
A: Prove it!
B: You first!

.. B made the counterclaim and is repsonsible.

Nope. I asked him for proof before i made any claim. try reading the thread.

Your claim, your burden.

read the post before your reply. since its been up for the 20 minutes, and you have replied to two other people AFTER i made that post with the evidence, it shows you are clearly ignoring it.

Why do people let him do this, in a thread like this of all places? We have a lovely devotional poem, yet we allow a vile little attention-seeker to reduce the thread to tawdry sneering in the space of about five posts.

It seems that rationalists are very easy targets for attention-seekers. I’m not sure why, but it might have something to do with the former having a compulsion of sorts to correct faulty beliefs or statements.

Well someone's showing their true colours...

The worst thing that Conspiracy Theorists do is deny the humanity of 9/11 - the human loss, the human heroism, and the human malice. In my opinion it's this utterly inhuman behaviour that needs "debunking" the most. But to remind people of the reality of what people experienced that day, the traditional methods are ineffective.

9/11 is a story of human emotion, and the sciences are not the realm of emotion. The arts are. So with art - in this case a poem - we can effectively remind the dispassionate, the jaded, and the downright inhuman that a great tragedy occured that day, that in spite of their petty pathetic little internet claims the reality is that nineteen miserable pieces of terrorist scum devastated and destroyed the lives of thousands of people, and eternally scarred an entire world. They acted without the slightest concern for the consequences of their actions - all they cared about was their own stupid, irrelevant cause.

In that regard the perpetrators of 9/11 are much like your typical Conspiracy Theorist, as so perfectly demonstrated in this thread.

Theauthor, no I won't be giving you anything you demand. No I won't be responding to your disrespectful, shameful, utterly disgusting behaviour.

Pathetic appeal to emotion. You can write as many poems as you like, it doesn't affect the facts.

3000 people died, regardless of what happened on 911. If its an inside job 3000 people still died in a horrible way. your point makes no sense.

That depends on your definition of when the seasons start and finish. By Chinese reckoning, for example, Summer ends on August 6th, while here Winter ends on August 31st.

I chose "Fall" because of the association with "falling", not because of the season.
.

In US "summer" is often calculated as beginning on Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
and ends on Labor Day (First Monday in September). These dates usually mark
warm sunny days or "summer weather". Most schools and Universities let out around
this time and resume right after Labor Day.

actually the poem ADDRESSES the facts. You obviously want to ignore them as always.

so, why haven't You responded to the fact that the "let's roll" is not fiction?

Pdoherty why is this so important to you? Why do you feel the need to attack a poem meant as a tribute? Don't you have media outlets to send smoking gun evidence to?

If you have some kind of cite for this, I'd love to see it. I've been making the argument for years that summer had traditionally been June, July, and August, but wasn't aware of anything more than tradition. And the solstice to equinox definition that everyone thinks is official, is not official, but simply declared to be official by TV weather people.

I'd really like to see everyone go back to using the traditional definitions, because the solstice to equinox thing makes no sense.

I wasn't able to find any totally definitive pronouncements on this; however, if you go to the National Weather Service's web site and search for "meteorological summer," you'll find the term used and defined in numerous official reports.

There'll be time enough for that, once they finally show those mean ol' debunker naysayers on the internets how wrong they've been.

Here we have these idiots claiming the firefighters "were on it" while at the same time rescuing people from the debris....

Not just here but any other thread.
that other coward is the worst.

But those are the only things they know how to use get that little investigation of theirs to get started.....

Now I'm envious of gumboot, because he was able to provoke at least one self-righteous truther with his poem, yet I couldn't do the same with my own writing. What, have they all bailed out of Loose Change Second Edition by now because it's indefensible? I want my share of pissed off truthers, damnit!

But seriously, nice work. How long did that take to write?

Suddenly, silence.

I like how theauthor runs away when I ask him about sending inside job evidence to the media.

Your claim, your burden.
This mean you have no evidence to back your claim.
You are just making it up, you will never be able to back up your words. Your words are false, no support. Or will you present some?. Why do you make up stuff about 9/11 with no evidence?

It didn't take very long. I typically write my poems very quickly. I started it last September 11, but never got as far as completing it, and it's just been sitting on my desktop waiting for inspiration to strike. The finished it the day I posted it to JREF. I had to sacrifice some poetic quality to fit in some of the details I wanted - like the number of people on the flights - but on balance I felt it was more important to get that in the poem than it was to have a perfectly constructed stanza.
