star trek isn't always clear about how their transporter is supposed to work.
It seems to me that quantum teleportation really is exactly like teleportation in the star trek sense, though to be fair star trek isn't always clear about how their transporter is supposed to work.
Can't be exactly like it, the ones in Star Trek violate the no cloning theorem occasionally.
