Telepathy

All this talk about frequencies and such is premature. Step 1 is to demonstrate that there is a phenomenon worthy of further investigation.

For example, consider radiation. You can’t see it, smell it or feel it. For a long time, we couldn’t even detect it. Yet it had a real effect. It was the observation of this effect that lead to the experiments that lead to the discovery of radiation, an energy source we had no idea existed before.

If you want to postulate that telepathy is the result of an energy source (psi waves?) that we don’t know about, you first have to observe the effect of these psi waves in the real world. No effect? Nothing to investigate.

That would be a great post, if the the (claimed) 'telepaths' in residence had any interest in actually demonstrating an effect.

Did you just postulate that 'science' no longer needs to study brain waves because we already know everything?

ROTFLMAO
Oooh, so close.

What he's actually saying is that we know what "brain waves" are, we know how they behave, and at what frequencies, and under what conditions. And we know that they can't possibly be a medium for telepathy.

According to this link, that you provided, the claimant must be a resident of Australia:
You must be a resident of Australia. For logistical reasons, we are unable to undertake tests with people in other countries, not do we ask other countries’ skeptical groups to run formal testing on our behalf.

So perhaps King of Australasia (if there is one) would be more suitable for this challenge than King of the Americas ;).

It seems to me they should have written "... nor do we ask ..." instead of "not do we ask". Perhaps you can point that out to your friend Eran. But, of course, it was perhaps intentional, meaning "There may be a skeptical organization out there which has a job to do".

Indeed, this is true. It happens to be where I am so it's the one I know about. But there are plenty of others across the world.

In fact, if you really do have paranormal abilities and can demonstrate them under controlled observing conditions, the amount of money you could get by winning all those prizes would end up at well over a million dollars.

I'm not one to nitpick over a tiny single-letter typo.

You failed. What a surprise.

Wait, I'm getting something! It's a voice saying "I can't believe people are engaging with such blatant trolling".

It can't be Michel H because he's convincing that he believes his fantasies (although that's where the believability ends).

What does this have to do with telepathy?

Apparently if you assert that the heart stopping means that brain death has occurred then the fact that people have been revived means that the afterlife is real and full of telepathic unicorns, or something like that..

Yep. It's Near Death Expedience.
