I am putting forward the claim that Ted Cruz is an honest and genuine senator and wonderful family man, whereas Hilary Clinton is a dishonest fraud.

The two premises are entirely independent of one another. Conflating them into a single statement serves no purpose other than to invite petty partisan bickering.
 
I'll vote for a dishonest fraud if she isn't a batcrap crazy far right wing lunatic like Cruz. I don't even care if he is genuine. Pol Pot was genuine too.

When selecting a senator, I do not list honesty and genuineness in my top five most desired characteristics.

I am looking for
  • competance
  • ability to balance short term and long term goals
  • ability to understand how complex 21st century politics can be. (I.e. Can think beyond "small tax good. big tax bad," or "small tax bad, big tax good")
  • ability to understand when and how to compromise.
  • willingness to break party lines when necessary.

Dick Cheney was filled with genuineness when he told Patrick Leahy "to go ****" himself. Genuineness is not what DC needs.

There is zero chance of infidelity between Senator and Mrs. Cruz because they are God-fearing Southern Baptists; if they were to commit adultery they would both burn in eternal flame. Cruz met his wife while working on the George W. Bush presidential campaign of 2000. This indicates they are both moral, upstanding persons who oppose gay marriage and the redistribution of wealth to suffering children. Heidi is head of the Southwest Region in the Investment Management Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. She previously worked in the White House for Condoleezza Rice and in New York as an investment banker. This means they are both rich beyond the dreams of avarice.

Lady Macbeth Hillary Clinton clings publicly to her sham marriage to former president Bill Clinton, whom she forgave for adultery and so mocked the uncompromising law of God. She was the first First Lady to hold a postgraduate degree and to have her own professional career up to the time of entering the White House. Also, she supports the murder of unborn children. After Eleanor Roosevelt, Clinton is regarded as the most openly empowered presidential wife in American history. She is evil and must be crushed.

As Secretary of State under the antichrist President Obama, Clinton advocated the adoption of cookstoves in the developing world, to foster cleaner and more environmentally sound food preparation and reduce smoke dangers to women. She also prevailed over Vice President Joe Biden on an internal debate to send an additional 21,000 troops to the war in Afghanistan and supported Obama's plan to tie the surge to a timetable for eventual withdrawal. She became the first secretary of state to methodically implement the "smart power" approach, which is so typical of a soft-hearted woman, don't you think?

Clinton's practice of using her own private e-mail address and server throughout her time as Secretary of State, rather than departmental ones, gained widespread public attention due to concerns about national security, the Freedom of Information Act and the archival historical record, and whether her action had violated any federal laws, regulations, or guidelines blah blah blarghhh she is evil incarnate end of discussion.
 
There are only two people I see in this subforum who I cannot tell if they are satire or not. Yours was too obvious ;)
 
I feel I need to catch up on some AAH posts to get what is going on here.
 
Cruz can be totally honest and still be dangerously idiotic (that's my default conclusion if he is, indeed, honest).
