Teabagger Loony Tune Sharron Angle Thinks Black Is "Thoroughly Evil"

That woman is getting to be even scarier than Michele Bachmann.

Tuxedos? evil
Wearing a black suit to a funeral? evil
Protestant ministers wearing black vestments? evil

I think the thread title is accurate when describing her as Looney Tune.

I notice too that she wants to privatize Social Security along the lines of the Chilean model (which I usually call the Fascist Plan.)

I can't think of a thing that ditz has gotten right in her public carreer.

People that passionate about a wrong idea scare me.

Agreed it is a crazy idea although I would prefer a little more confirmation of the story than what the article provided.

It is a skeptic board and therefore asking for documentation is never wrong.

Perhaps I am too gullible, but I figure anyone willing to go on record as saying that the Democratic platform and federal entitlement programs violate the first commandment, is nutty enough to say that high school football players should not wear black.

I am prepared to eat crow if I am wrong.

ETA: It might be time for me to ask for someone to pass the ketchup.
The Las Vegas Review Journal call it an "unconfirmed story [based on an] Aug. 13 column in the Pahrump Valley Times by Bill Roberts, a registered Democrat and former editor and owner of the Tonopah Times-Bonanza & Goldfield News."

Black is only evil when people fall for the promise that it is slimming. It can be, but not in all cases and not all the time. Sometimes a given posterior is so massive that the gravitational effects disrupt the passage of light and thus the slimming effect of black is rendered ineffective. This applies especially to black stretch pants.

When I read the story I read that there was a group that objected to the black uniforms. It had someone from outside the group recalling their arguments from 18 years ago. Plus, really no mention of Angle's involvement in that group was mentioned other than loose association and she was running at the time.

I see a lot of room for misinterpretation, smearing by association or poor recall of fact 18 years later that make me wonder about this.

Maybe someone in the area can check with the school involved. They can at least identify a couple football players. they tend to be major figures in their communities after graduation in citiies that size.

Certainly this story should be as easy to confirm or disprove as the rumor that the "burn a Qur'an" pastor had been busted for kiddy pron.

which is why I suggested in my edit that it is time for me to eat my words.

I wonder what she thinks of Louis Black, or Black Sabbath, or AC/DC's song "Back in Black."

Lord knows Sharon Angle can't be a fiscal conservative. After all, she wouldn't want to keep us in the black.
