Tax Protesting Browns Get NPR Coverage

This morning, NPR's Morning Edition aired a story about Ed & Elaine Brown, the New Hampshire couple who insist they won't be taken alive over their failure to pay their income taxes, which landed them a five-year prison sentence. Worth a listen just to hear the tax protest song at the end, which brings the MIHOP/LIHOP song to mind.

Has anyone told the Browns that the IRS can wait until they die to take their property? Has anyone told the Browns the IRS will just take their bank accounts? Has anyone told the rich people Browns that the rich complain most about taxes? Please someone tell the Browns their property will belong to the IRS and they can wait for the idiots to pass, or just sell it to some other people who will have the police evict the Browns. Why are some, and seems like just a few rich people so dumb.

Warning making lots of money and having a lot of property incurs a lot of taxes, plan ahead so you do not look as dumb as the Browns.

I've found the tax deniers to be just as dense as 911 truthers, maybe more so because it's just so cut and dry easy to refute them. You say, here's the law, here's congress voting on the law, here's the president signing it, here's the court decisions upholding it, but still they cling to the belief that there is no law.
