Tarot cards, they are AMAZING!

Just bumping this thread so it isn't forgotten.

How are the readings going? Hopefully, MrErisian hasn't disappeared.

I haven't heard from him since I sent him the list of names.

Brave Sir Robin ran away...
bravely ran away away...
When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about, and valiantly, he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat.
A brave retreat by brave Sir Robin.

I gather that if you're in a tight spot, and don't know whether to cut the blue wire or the red wire, then perhaps tarot cards might be described as something other than "amazing".

The irony is that the Tarot cards were originally meant as playing cards; I have played the original game they were meant for at SCA Events and a couple of Renassiance fairs.

Bingo! I was waiting for someone to say this. :D
In essence, the Tarot is a variant of the playing card deck. A clever Italian added some extra cards to make a trump suit for a card game. The English word "trump" is derived from "trionfi" the original name of Tarot cards.

Variants of the original Tarot game are currently played in many European countries and there are now advocates for having these game recognized in the US and UK. As a game player, one of the sad things about how the popular media glamorizes the divination of Tarot cards is how this other Tarot culture, the culture of game playing, has been suppressed so that few English speakers are even aware these games exist.

Sorry everyone - real world got in the way a bit. Intending to start these readings next week.

So from what your saying, your doing readings, and then your surprized that the readings you recieve , contain information that either you know or know is likely.

The cards are vague enough to mean anything, and your mind fills in the blanks. Here are a few explinations for any sucess, though, without a proper study, this is all kind of peeing in the wind.

So you were looking for a job i assume, which means you put out more than one resume most likely. So the chances of you not getting more than one call back are fairly slim unless you applied for jobs you had no qualifications for.

If this is a friend of yours i assume you have heard him talk about either not liking his/her place before of of moving.

The prediction for your sister was a 50/50 so you have a huge chance to be right. Now if you factor in that women are more picky about people they date than men, your almost guarenteed that the guy wouldn't be someone she would be impressed with.

All and all these is nothing that really needs explaining, the cards are designed to be vaugue , and you found out some vaugue things, most with 50/50 chances of happening.

I have received the first reading from MrErisian. It's quite detailed. The rest will be following in due course. I do not want MrErisian to feel pressured at all - this is supposed to be fun, remember?

Second reading received. There are some quite strong claims in both of these readings, and I will be interested to see how they pan out.

5. Arthwollipot randomly assigns numbers (1 to 10) to the readings and arranges them in numerical order. He then PMs the full list of ten readings to each of the ten sitters.
I will just say here that both of the readings I have received from MrErisian are very long. It will not be practical to PM all ten readings to every participant, so instead I will be creating a private folder on my personal website http://www.arthwollipot.com/ into which I will place the readings. Each of the participants will receive a password to access this folder, and I will keep the "master list" matching name to reading in my personal account.

Is this method satisfactory to all?

ETA: Participants, please don't respond in the thread. PM me if you have any issues or questions.

That sounds fine.

Kudos to all participants for a thread well done.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to you, Arthwollipot.

I would be interested to hear some skeptical thoughts on Tarot cards. I have recently been playing about with a pack doing readings for friends and family. I'm stunned at how accurate they are. It's incredible!

We've had some very impressive predictions, for example I was told I'd be offered two jobs at once over a month or so ago and sure enough, I was. This happened in a recession as well.

I was told my friend was looking to move house, he was.

I got told my sister wouldn't be impressed by the bloke she went on a blind date with. She wasn't.

It's VERY strange but my rational mind knows there must be an explanation which goes beyond coincidence. What is it? How do tarot cards work their 'magic'?

PS - Hello! My first post on here after a fair bit of lurking. I was told about this forum on the David Icke website where I post under the same username.
Eeeni Meenie Chilie beanie, the spirits are about to speak. Try not to get obsessed with this nonsense. I have a friend who collects decks of taro cards and some of the artwork is truly beautiful. The future can't be predicted. It hasn't happened yet.
