No I don't look like 60% of the Skepchicks because a) I'm probably the shortest of them all at 4 feet 11 inches and b) I'm not white/Caucausian/or of European decent (less than 15% european) and c) <fill in the blank>

But as far as race goes, I'm a true American mutt -- a mix of the Cherokee who were driven off their land, and the Anglos who took it. That's why I got blond hair -- what's left of it -- but can't raise a beard at 41.

Well, that clears up the confusion of me thinking you looked like a normal person at 5.5... The person I thought was you looks nothing like the picture you posted.

Putting that little photo up there is kindof a big deal for me.

On behalf of us single skepchicks, we are very grateful you did.

(And really, Piggy, everything that people are saying about having a tough time around other people is true, but this will only be my third event, and I am so much less terrified scared to death nervous than I was for the first one that it's nearly miraculous enough to be worth the million dollars.)

ETA: Also, you might want to spend some time in the chat room before hand. It helps a lot to already "know" some of the people you'll be meeting.
