TAM XIII Roll Call

A very drunk DRBUZZ0 was removed from the party. Terrific entertainment! :)

I was wondering if he was sick or just drunk when I saw him wandering the halls at around 10:45 Saturday night. He was staring blankly off into the distance while walking down the main corridor.

He was sitting in the Lounge area Friday night and mentioned that he was thinking about getting a mail order Russian bride. When I heard a few weeks ago that he was learning Russian, I figured it would be for the purposes of getting a Russian bride.

And I have to say again, it's not like the man is truly heinous in the looks department. It's his personality alone that's keeping him from finding women that will go on a second date with him.

I wondered what the point was with the coat and tie (which he lost after one day). Is he still running for office?

It was indeed a great evening, and fitting tribute to Randi. I actually got a great picture of him, and I'll be sure to post it here on the forum once I get back home, and onto a computer. This phone interface is just too fiddly.

I have seen this picture, and it is indeed quite great, and not at all what you would expect. :D

BTW, it was very nice to meet you, Sft. Hope we meet again soon. Long live Tom Waits! ;)

It was very nice to meet you too, AdMan, and hope to see you again some time. :)

I don't expect to be able to afford making attending TAM a habit, but who knows what the future will bring - I certainly hope that my first TAM won't be my last. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I'll miss the whole TAM atmosphere, and the people - from the forum and outside it - I met.

If not at TAM, then maybe (or also) you can make it here. :)

The first one was quite an experience. Different from TAM, but still very special and a lot of fun.

Girl at the RR table said they have a date, but couldn't tell me because they're saving it for the official launch. Closest she would come was "late spring".

Was at the private (an audience of thirty) recording of an extra episode of the SGU after the event. A day and an evening I won't quickly forget.

If I had more money, or lived closer, I'd surely attend every year. It's been a great experience for me, and it's not quite over yet. :)

Nice to meet you too Swordfishtrombone. Thanks for the kind offer of the salty licorice candy. Which, as you may recall, I refused. :w2:

Yup, I didn't get much more than that either. I understand plans are for later in the spring than the first one (which was March 24), so at least it should be warmer, though no guarantees on rain. I would start praying for dry weather. :D

Finally back home. Man am I tired. Fortunately I had no major delays, and made it to every flight change.

Alas, I'm afraid my budget won't allow me another US trip any time soon - have to look closer to home next year. Probably going to London to visit my sister next summer, and hopefully there's something that I can attend there then.

The reason rally would be fun, of that I have no doubt. :)

I recall - was nice to meet you nevertheless! :D

I gave Richard Saunders some salmiakki to taste, and he actually liked it, and had more than one - that's been my experience; maybe one out of ten people who've never had it, will like it at first taste.

Now I've got to get a nap. Trying to sleep on the plane is not exactly what one would call a good nights' rest.

Oh, and I will post the picture of Randi I mentioned earlier, haven't forgotten - just have to move it to my computer, and crop it a bit, and I'm not quite feeling up to it right now; need a little recovery time. It'll get done in a day or two. :)

Where are you guys going to see pics of the event? I'd like to see them but so far I haven't found any thread on here. Is this a Twitter thing?

A lot were posted on Twitter (#TAM13), but also check out Susan Gerbic's Facebook page. She usually posts lots of pictures. Now, if you aren't into social media, I can't help you. ;)

I swear I DO intend to post the Randi picture... :o

Just been RIDICULOUSLY busy ever since I came back. Suddenly everybody I know has a computer/phone/other technology melt-down that needs my immediate attention. That, and other paying work, and I've barely had enough time to sleep.

In fact, gotta go right now... off to work.

This is my favorite pic from TAM, Randi retiring for the evening on Sunday.

I can provide one picture. This wasn't taken at TAM, but Sunday morning in the Beach Cafe.
I'm happily reuniting with my friends MoeFaux and Linda.

Happily indeed! It was wonderful to see you both!!

I just arrived back home after midnight from my much-needed vacation, so I'm behind on the post-TAM catch-up. Guess there aren't threads for that much anymore - but I'm happy to see this photo here, Scott!! I'll try and get mine organized for sharing too.

Also be sure to check out Brian Engler's Facebook page. He's posting a lot of TAM pictures.
