Well, we really shouldn't. Out of the utter train wreck that was CLM's original thread, not only did we have a lot of fun, but we also came up with the fairly successful "TAMbassadors" program. And that's despite Scrut's entire contribution!

This was during one (or two or more) of my years of ignoring TAM threads. (Who, me? Jealous. Not a bit, ya bunch of snotty bastards with too much disposable income!)

Can someone explain the mechanics of the banning? Was CLM a sock all along or did he come back while on suspension to get his "fair share of abuse" (musical allusion - I'm all about "clever", I am)?

I think the main reason for the banning was he had one or more sock puppets (which he admitted to in a thread) and then tried to register another one while suspended for the earlier offense.

Ah, thanks. I was hoping for Moar Drama, like that he was that Magic Cafe guy with the hate-on for Randi, for instance. Just a short-fuse that got lit by the pros.
