That's all you need to do. You should have gotten an email confirming your registration. Nothing will come in the mail; you just show up at the registration tables and pick up your badge and other stuff which will be waiting for you.

If you didn't get an email confirmation, I would check with the JREF.

On a related note, I saw in DJ's Swift post from Wednesday that it looks like they'll need to close registration in the next week or two due to capacity issues (max 1500 attendees), so those people who are delaying their registration for whatever reason should probably get on it.

Yes. I also like the fact that there will be over 200 high school and college students attending. However, I question DJ's statement that "we are pretty confident that this will be the largest gathering of skeptic students ever." Wouldn't Skepticon have more students?

Hard to say. I'm not sure they kept track. During Randi & Rebecca's talks on Sat night, the audience peaked at about 800. Not sure how many were students. During the morning lectures, there weren't even 200 people there, much less students.

I think about TAM 1 compared to TAM 9 and I'm blown away.

There is nothing I attend at which I'm pleased to renew so many friendships and make so many new ones. And I say this as a person who cannot remember the names of people worth a damn.

#1 is the only one I missed. I think back to TAM 2, and the Saturday night "party", such as it was, was maybe 20 people hanging out in the lobby bar, listening to that dreadful DJ (not Grothe).

One note on something we learned last year - 15 year olds are not welcome in the Del Mar Lounge. Bring fake id. :)

Yeah, we didn't attract attention until he ordered a soda from the bartender. Seemed perfectly reasonable to everyone except the bartender and the half dozen twitchy security guards that appeared.
