Tam 8

Some will be there as early as Tuesday. A lot of "forum veterans" arrive on Wed, which is when the bar will start getting crowded, and pretty much everyone is there by Thursday.

Cool. There are a few restaurants (a bit out of the way - I lived out by Summerlin) that I want to revisit when I am there and thought they would be a good venue to get to better know my new friends. Sounds like Tuesday or Wednesday night would be good for that.

I'd love to know when the workshops are scheduled. Right now, if you sign up for multiple workshops, there is no way to tell if the conflict.

There is a schedule. Also they are numberd 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, etc. any with the same number but different letters are at the same time

Alright, the wife and I are all registered. We got the all workshop pass. The Science Based Medicine workshops look pretty interesting to us, so we're looking forward to that. And we'll be arriving on Wednesday to get some drinking done the night before.

I only have my hotel booked until Sunday but now I'm thinking I may stay until Monday so I can go to the Penn & Teller show as I have never seen it.

Weirdest thing ever...

Credit Card - This payment cannot be funded with a credit card.

"PayPal is constantly working to protect our members against fraud. We review every transaction before it is approved, and we may block a payment when we detect a potential risk.

Our reviews take into account every aspect of a transaction, including looking at both parties. These decisions help us maintain the integrity of our payments network in the same way as other payment processors: by declining transactions with an unacceptable level of risk.

While our fraud measures occasionally block a legitimate payment, to maintain overall security, we cannot overturn any decisions about an individual transaction."

Great.

That is weird, I paid by creditcard over paypal with no issues.

Think the volume of $500+ payments either flipped Paypal out randomly, or it's some sort of glitch. I'll give it a shot again later today.

You're never seen the P&T show? We must correct that drastic shortcoming in your life this TAM! If you're lucky, maybe they'll bring you on stage for their knife-throwing trick. You'd make a good target, IMHO. :)

Then I would miss that part of the show as my eyes would be closed the entire time. And Scrut would have to let me off his lap.

Does much usually happen on the Thursday morning? The cheapest flight I've found so far gets me in to Los Angeles on the Wednesday night. I'm gonna try and find a flight from LA to Vegas that evening, but otherwise will have to wait for a coach/early flight the next morning.

Registration and workshops mostly. And of course hanging out at the bar.

Is anyone else a little bummed that Richard Wiseman isn't on the speakers list? I really enjoyed his talk on the TAM 5 DVD. Does he normally attend?
