Tam 8

Susan and I hope to be there, but it's a bit early to say for certain.

If you and Susan are able and want to be there, you will be there. Room, Registration, etc....those are not obstacles, only your own issues will prevent it.

There aren't many things in this world I can guarantee, but that is one of them I will personally give you my word on right now.

My goal is to attend. Once I get a new job I'll have a better idea of what I can do.

So are these just rumours or is it already confirmed that TAM 8 will be held once again at the South Point Casino from July 8 to July 11, 2010?

I have heard these facts from several sources, non of which from the JREF...
Randi himself announced at TAM7 that TAM8 would be held at South Point, on the weekend following July 4th, 2010.

I'm not sure if I'll be there, because I have no evidence to confirm I'll still be a skeptic by next summer.

Well, if you aren't still a skeptic by next summer, we'll have to invite you to give a talk on "Why You Guys are All Wrong!", so you'll be there anyways.

I definitely plan on coming, and hopefully I'll be bringing both Mrs. Nobbs and also a dear friend who heard about my experience at TAM7 and expressed jealousy.

On behalf of RSL and myself, can I formally request that the skepchick party be held at a wheelchair-accessible location? In return, I will graciously offer free rides to any skepchick willing to sit on my lap.

:D

I've calculated my vacation usage between now and then, and I might have the time available. Which just leaves the other elements to figure out...

I really, really, really do want to go!

ETA: I just noticed this is my 2,424th post. 24 is my magic number... Cool!

I'm pretty sure "Being carried by a mob of Skepchicks" counts as "wheelchair accessible".

Or at least, it should.

;)

Already checking out flights. Found Melbourne to Los Angeles for $1638. Hoping there will be better prices towards the end of this year.

I shall be there with bells on. Already have enough points for the flight.

And the Del Mar Lounge will once again be my home away from home.
I have to say that was a great lounge. See you there, Scrut!

I'm still catching up on The Skeptics' Guide to The Universe and the TAMs that they have discussed and broadcast from sound great. As long as it's still anywhere within a few hundred miles of Oregon, I plan to go drive there this year with my dog. Woof!
