I've just sent the Lancasters over US$200 from the latest orders. That's totally from orders raised to be collected at TAM7.

I'd be more excited if I had my flights booked. As it is I'm just feeling more anxious and frustrated. :(
 
Tam, did the money Eos sent you not help with the booking?

My anxiety inducing plan to leave Scarlett with my mom has fallen through and now I have the more axniety inducing prospect of taking her to the vet and either boarding her there or trying to find another pet boarder. Oh yeah, and I have jury duty on the 16th of July. Do I need to mention I work the night shift and all this stuff is harder for me than you daylight people?

Since my wife does not want to go to TAM, I wish we could help you with Scarlett, but she will be in Springfield, MO while I am away. (I'm actually flying in to Las Vegas from Springfield.)

Speaking of jury duty, people should know a former Dallas Cowboy football player is serving jail time for not showing up. They're really serious about that around here.

BTW, US, are going to have that Bible Study again??:) You mentioned on a TAM activities thread last year but somehow I never did make it.:D
 
FYI, if you already have vacation plans set, they usually let you out of jury duty if you call ASAP. You'll probably get called again in a few months, and you won't be able to postpone that time.

Thanks for the offer anyway. She probably needs a lengthy vet visit since she's getting old and it will work out for both of us.

I moved here in '93 and was first called in '98. Since then I've been called twice and not seated either time. It's not that I don't want do to my civic duty, but given my night lifestyle it would really screw me up.

Didn't happen last year and not on the agenda for this, but if anyone wants to do a study of Genesis relative to the Crevo debate and why it's largely metaphorical we can grab a Gideons from our hotel room and have an impromtieu session.

I misread the date on a summons a few years ago and got rescheduled for a month or two later. I'll contact them shortly and see what they're willing to do.

A piece of me wonders if I'm being called seemingly more frequently since there are less citizens in Dallas, Co.

The jury people here in Sonoma County, CA are way nice this way if you call them and work with them. I travel a lot for a living and they are even willing to schedule my jury duty for weeks I know I'll be in town.

I even forgot to call once and then had to call the day after I "missed" from London. They were more than accomodating in terms of getting me rescheduled.

People to people -- work with them. What a concept. ;)

I think my Jewish roomate from college covered this topic with several friends and me many years ago, but it still might be an interesting review.
