TAM 6: Blue Man Group and O Cirque du Soleil

In addition to the discounted Penn and Teller show, I'd like to catch a Blue Man show and possibly O Cirque du Soleil, although I am undecided on "O" because it is hideously expensive.

Is anyone else planning on attending these? :D I would be there June 18th-22nd, so I would be catching them sometime within that time frame. I'll do my best to make it not conflict with major TAM events, but I will most likely not be attending any workshops.

I've seen Blue Man twice and I'm going to see them a third time next month because, frankly, they're fantastic. I highly recommend them. :)

Edit: Unless it's Jeff GoldBluMan. That's some scary stuff, there.

Blue Man is awesome. I took a bunch of family and friends to see it during TAM 5. If you want to see a Cirque du Soleil show and don't want to spend a ton of money, see if Mystere is still playing. I saw that one a few years ago and it was very good (and funny).

I got a member of Blue Man Group to speak to me after a show once while they were still in character. He just asked where I saw them before and if I enjoyed the show but as soon as someone walked by he started miming again. It was hilarious. He started to ask me if I'd like to go somewhere but then my parents walked up and squashed that train. Thanks, mom and dad.

I would advise against O, as I thought it was rather tedious. If you're interesting in seeing something water-based, check out le Reve at the Wynn. Still stupidly expensive like O, but much much better.

Le Reve and Mystere... will check out. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Kate... you should have asked him! :D

Oh...

When do they usually nail the time/date down for the TAM forum party? I wouldn't want to schedule a show during it and miss that. ;)

Last year it was Saturday night, and went until about 2:30 when the security goons kicked us out. After that a bunch of us went to the casino bar.

Is there no last call in Vegas? I think I like this place. :D

Hmm saturday is the Penn and Teller show. Guess I would be showing up late.

Is there a TAM block of tickets for P & T? If not, does anyone else want to order tickets together? I don't want to sit all by myself :-)

I ordered the discounted set during registration. I think it is the Saturday show.

I would like to see P&T's show, again. (I was suppsed to do so, last year.) Though, I didn't order tickets, yet.

Saw Blue Man Group not terribly long again. They are cool! But, I'm kinda iffy on seeing them again, right now, though.

Saw "O". It was excellent! But, if I see a Cirque show, I would rather see one I didn't see, yet: "The Beatles: Love"*, before I start rewatching the others.

(* The only other perm. Cirque show I have NOT seen is Zumanity, but I don't have any interest in seeing that one.)

OK, I have narrowed down the Blue Man shows to either Friday at 8:00 PM, or Sunday at 8:00 PM, if anyone can make those times and wants to come along. I figure I'll make up my mind in the next couple of weeks. Be warned, I am planning getting tickets close to the stage. ;)

I'm not entirely sure about other shows. I think I will fit them around forum stuff in the evening.

Sunday at 8PM might work, for me! Friday might conflict with something. I dunno what, yet.

But, I would like to see P&T, as well! Anyone wanna pick a time and date for P&T?!

I've already booked a discounted P&T ticket when booking TAM, i assume they're for the 9pm show on Saturday. Again, i assume the seats are block booked for JREF??
