Taco Bell sued

Regardless of the lawsuit, if anyone comes to my neighborhood I can take them to get real, super good Mexican food from real Mexicans at this place down the street. You'll never want to touch Taco Bell again. I'd given up on Mexican food until this place opened.

I don't go to Taco Bell for "Mexican food". I go there for fast, cheap, sustenance that tastes okay, and isn't a cheese burger.

If I want "Mexican food" I go somewhere else.

In Roswell, NM, the TB on the south side of town closed, and re-opend on the North side. Couldn't compete with the real stuff-and was one burrito place that was Heavenly.
Non of 'em compare, however, to Roberto's in Las Cruces...

Were they out of this world? ;)

Here's something I overheard in the mall once: "Is that new Mexican restaurant as good as Taco Bell?" :)

I agree with you about Taco Bell. It's like what a friend of mine says about frozen pizzas - "They really aren't pizza, but I like them."

Ditto. But I really do like their 7-layer burrito.

And it's very filling - a couple tacos and a seven-layer burrito and I'm full.

I think I eat (a little) healthier at Taco Bell and I generally spend less than at the other fast-food places.

I very much like Taco Bell food. I think I could eat it every day, and never get tired of it.

I have no illusion about it being any kind of genuine Mexican food. It's Gringo food, with a decidedly “Mexican” theme to it.

But it tastes very good, and is very satisfying and nourishing to eat; and as far as I am concerned, that is what really matters.

I don't get my Italian food at Pizza Hut, either, but damn, what they got is goood. :p

Seconded. Taco Bell is actually far more accommodating to vegetarians than most fast food chain. If the only options are McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's or Taco Bell, I'm running for the border.

Oh I live in LA and I can attest that there are far better authentic Mexican places one could go to, but sometimes, YOU just have that urge to get cheap pseudo-Mexican food.

I prefer Del Taco as my fast food taco joint.
