See, they're just like us. When they're not groping and robbing and sexually assaulting or defecating in swimming pools they're attacking people on the street with machetes.

A pregnant woman is dead and at least two others are injured after a machete-wielding Syrian refugee allegedly attacked passersby on a German street.

The 21-year-old randomly hacked at terrified members of the public with the 12-inch blade in the city of Reutlingen this afternoon, it is reported.

A mum-to-be was killed in the horrific rampage near a kebab stand, while another woman and a man suffered unspecified injuries, according to local media.

The bearded refugee, described as 'completely out of his mind', was only stopped when a brave BMW driver apparently ploughed into him.

The Mirror article also says the police have said there's no indication of a link to terrorism, though they're still investigating. The Telegraph says the perpetrator was arguing with the victim before the attack, and that the car that stopped him was driven by the kebab shop owner's son.

The "machete" is simply a long knife as used to cut meat for a Döner Kebap - taken from the restaurant where the victim worked and the suspect had applies for work.

Prevalence of murder in Germany is under 700 per year - tendency: Declining. That's about 2 per day.
The proportion of non-German suspects is around 30% - tendency: Declining.
Why don't you open two threads per day lamenting the other 660 annual murders in Germany, and write slurs against the 70% German suspects?

It was a knife - looked to be some sort of heavy-bladed meat-cutting knife. Neverthless, I saw an 85-year-old German man do things to a dear carcass (a deer I had shot) with a knife that size that were astounding. He could hack straight through ribs and bone pretty slick. So...machete, or not, that knife is dangerous.
