Her October 2008 "web class" is here and the rest of her web videos are here.

I discussed her 2009 predictions a little here.

Also Stop Sylvia Browne.

Now if she had predicted that someone would throw a shoe at the president, I would have become a believer on the spot! :D

Oh, wait, these are predictions for 2009, so she would have had to made it last year. Never mind. :covereyes

Will someone be posting the predictions here, same as previous years?

For that matter, has anyone gone through last year's list to see how good it was?

Here are some of Browne's 2009 "predictions":

Sylvia Browne 2009 predictions said:
...
Around 2009 to 2010, I predict Americans will start working on what I like to call our "buts." There are problems that we are aware of that make the global community smaller. We have liked to say, "Our system works"..but...

...Children are not properly fed, clothed, educated, protected or given adequate medical care.

...Many in our population do not have a place to call home.

...Some of our youth get more attention from gangs and drug dealers than they do positive role models.

...People who are ready, willing and able to work cannot find decent jobs.

...Our elderly are not cared for properly either financially or medically.

...Some death row inmates are innocent.

...Some elected officials and large corporations do not think of the welfare of the people as a high priority - they'd rather just increase their bank accounts.

I predict we'll develop strong resolve and resources to address these problems and come up with some good solutions.
...
More of my Sylvia Browne predictions...

I predict a great rise in skin cancer in children until 2010. There is a lot of media coverage about the UV rays and many products to protect people against them. But people are still often careless when it comes to the sun. Then again, people could pay attention - and reverse this prediction right out from under me. I would certainly be all for that!

I predict the President elected sometime after 2008 will die in office from a heart attack. The Vice President who will finish their term will have an unpopular and mistaken intention to declare war on North Korea. By that time, North Korea will have weapons of mass destruction. In the middle of efforts to declare war, I predict the Vice President will be assassinated.

There will be a worldwide investigation into the Vice President's death with both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. A lot of attention will be paid to one of the investigative congressional committees and serious accusations will be made regarding missing funds. Finally, it will be revealed that their accusations are part of a conspiracy to damage the American people's faith in their government, with the media manipulated to "fan the flames," and the committee will be vindicated in the end.

In 2008, I predict doctor's offices will have a high-tech "aura scanner" for patients that come to see them. This will be a highly developed version of an MRI. A patient will stand on a rotating disc and an infrared light will scan the body looking at their aura.

I predict we can truly say "goodbye" to the common cold in 2009 or 2010. The solution to the common cold involves heat. Keep in mind that the body's first response when we develop a cold is to come down with a fever. Many doctors today no longer rush to push patients to take temperature reducing medications when they come down with a fever, unless the fever is dangerous. They feel the immune system is the patient's best medicine and should be given a chance to fight back. So as the immune system fights a cold with heat, the cure for the common cold certainly may lie in this first signal to heal.
...

For fun, read her predictions on the economy in 2008 or on the 2008 election.

With all the heat on her failed predictions, she has really made her 2009 ones even more vague than usual.

Okay, I know she's barely literate, but what does the sentence mean, "I predict the president elected sometime after 2008...." ?

These are 2009 predictions so she could only have meant, "I predict the president elect(Obama) will die in office in 2009, and...."

I hear forecasting of the future all the time.
Not of the big grand conjecture type, but of the mundane.
Mostly Predictions of highly probable events.
Some weigh in with a little less probability and unlikeliness.
Just from normal everyday conversations with people.
Sometimes these projections need a little more attention with the important matters.
When it comes to planning...These have more meaning to me in my everyday life.
I still bin all this Browne stuff in the entertainment department though.
I to can imagine, or call it foresight or whatever, that a cure for ailments
may happen sometime soon... maybe anytime after tomorrow.
That There is going to be scandal in the higher offices of government
Someone with authority will be involved.
Be as vague as a cloaked ghost.
Well if a audience was listening... I don't think I'll be on Montell
anytime soon.

I rather think Doug Henning is much more entertaining and has an
actual craft, be it illusions.

Actually, I read that as her predicting that a president elected sometime between Jan 1, 2009 and the end of time will get assassinated and have the VP take over. Any time this does not happen, she can simply state that the time has not arrived yet. Obama wouldn't count because he is a president who was elected in 2008, not after.

Edited to fix grammatical error.

I kept looking at the quote and thinking, "This is like Nostradamus... fuzzy enough to mean anything...", frankly.

Another Canajun.... and from Bytown, no less! Welcome - is it cold enough for skating on the canal, yet? (I spent about ten years in Ottawa one winter, the legendary snowfall year of 1970-71 - coldest damned place, and possibly boringest, on earth.... but then again, I never did get to Sudbury, which I understand can outdo Ottawa in both categories.... )

Or as she explained in the November web class, if we are all positive, we can create a "harmonic convergence" that will change things. This is because "intentions create reality." So, there's always that to fall back on when predictions fail.

Greetings from Canuckistan! It is actually not too bad, temperature wise this winter, so far. Supposedly, Ottawa is the coldest national capitol city in the world, colder even than Moscow. I don't know if it is true, but I imagine that there are not too many worse. As for record snowfall years, last winter broke all the records. As for it being boring, I have to disagree. There are always things happening around town, for just about any tastes. It's not Montreal or Toronto, but it is better than many other cities.

A friend of mine lives in Sudbury, and she says it is a lot like Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since I am originally from Halifax, and moved here to get away from that place, that is not exactly a good selling point for Sudbury. :)

Yeah, they always seem to leave themselves an out for the big predictions. Of course, if I was here, I'd do the exact same thing. Being a fake psychic and not leaving an escape clause would be bad for business.
