Sylvia Browne Protest - Dallas - Resources?

You may not have got much support at the time, however you may have put a grain of doubt in some people's minds. If they then start looking things up on the Internet they will find some highly critical comments about her.

I could start rambling what a waste of time it would be...
But do as you please, but make sure you are aware of all the consequences.

I also had a very nice punch-line in mind for your flyers.
"Guess you didn't saw that one comming".

On a second note, I just saw a bit late the event already passed.

Great work!! It's impossible to say whether or not anyone was affected unless somehow they happen upon this thread and tell us. The point is, you did something, and it may have made a difference, you never know. That's awesome.

I agree.

Especially if they were part of the question and answer session and got a completely bizarre or incorrect answer. That, combined with having seen the signs, might also prompt people to look further.
 
I always thought that Texas people were very sweet. Maybe that foul mouthed woman didn't live in Texas?

Either that or maybe it was the same lovely woman who threatened Robert with disaster due to bad karma or something. Remember that? It was an email and she gave him like a 24-hour countdown and we all waited breathlessly to see what would happen. Can't remember the name of that thread.

Could it be possible that there are two women that support SB and make threats against skeptics? Nah. LOL
 
We didn't have a great view of the woman on this particular clip, but she looked VERY similar to the crazy God Warrior woman from that wife swap show. She had a serious case of grumpy-face which I even pointed out before she came over, her frown literally looked like * n *

I suppose I should have expected someone as nasty as Sylvia to have followers who were capable of being just as nasty.
 
Is there a way to change the title of this post to reflect that this protest has happened and that the thread now contains link to video of the protest?

I don't see a way as the OP that I can edit it...

nice one jayme . glad to hear the protest went off fine . i had a look at mindcore's you tube clip . as to the person who swore at you she sounds like a woman that has problems

I was recently asked to use a camcorder to record some stuff for my friend AronRa at a seminar at a church here about Creation Vs Evolution and I think the only thing we learned from that fiasco is that I'm not a good person to hand a video camera to, especially when I'm agitated at scammers, liars, and con artists. The video was unusable. I think audio is the way to go.

I hope to begin working more closely with the local skeptical group and organize events like this with the help of other folks not afraid to put their face and name out there. We should not be ashamed of who we are, what we do, THE CHARLATANS SHOULD BE.

I wake up every weekday and go in to teach kids about science and critical thinking. I make a fair and honest living doing what I love (and sometimes hate), but I'm not being dishonest about it. I'm not stealing money from grieving families, and I don't have to lie to make money.

If Sylvia or her cronies are reading these messages, I challenge them to be able to say the same thing. Are you making an honest living helping people? Are you making the world a better place?

Then, sadly, I wonder how many of them actually think they are...

Unfortunately these charlatans are far too callous to be concerned about peoples feelings,as far as converting the masses...they WANT to believe this garbage.We can only hope that our efforts will show results,we just have to keep at it.
