Sylvia Browne has had a heart attack

I am in contact with members of her family and am convinced the heart attack was real.

I too have it from a "reliable source" that the heart attack was real. I know that the church part of her organization is pretty sleezy, but I don't believe they would make something like that up.
A letter went out to all the study group members, a copy of which was forwarded to me, which says:

"Dear Friends,
Attached is an announcement that is being sent to you, our Novus Spiritus Study Group Community, about our founder, Sylvia Browne.

This notice is also available on Sylvia's website.

At this time, Sylvia’s prognosis is positive and she is showing steady improvement, but we have no idea how long before she will be able to return to work and to what extent.

Please keep her and Novus in your prayers.

(The "announcement" they reference is the same one we've all seen).

Why ever not - the whole thing is a scam from start to end! SB herself has been telling much worse and much more damaging lies for decades - I see no reason to believe that she and her church would not lie about something like this.

I think a real heart attack would have gotten some press coverage; Montel, Larry King, etc. in the press talking about...yet oddly silent.

I think it's entirely possible that she did suffer a heart attack.

Montel is busy shilling stuff. Larry is off the air other than for specials.

The lack of press coverage seems to indicate that she's not very newsworthy.

At least to me.

I agree and given what we apparently know about her personal habits it certainly would not be unusual that she had suffered a heart attack. But it would also not be unusual for her to be lying, in fact from her public appearances and "works" I would say that it would be unusual for her to be telling the truth.
 
In related news:

I stumbled upon this blog entry, which mentions both Browne's health issues - and mine! I's a bit...strange that there are literally thousands of pages on the web containing both our names together. A good strange, but still... strange. I guess it's like the fact that Randi's name will probably be forever linked to Uri Geller's.

But remember, it is not her who is saying that she has had a heart attack. It is her office, her church which is saying it.
 
For those that doubt that Sylvia has had a heart attack visit her site and find out when she will be having personal appearances, such as lectures. The only reference I can find to specific dates is on the front page and the announcements state they are in doubt. On the appearances page there are no dates.

So something has happened. If not a heart attack, what?

I guess she needs to make a rapid recovery so that she can make it to her next appearance. Otherwise she would have to give refunds to everyone that booked + her costs would be the same. I wonder if she has insurance to cover this sort of thing?

Of course if it is a hoax that "reliable sources" are not party to then she will make a rapid recovery in time for her next appearance and claim this as proof of her abilities. In the meantime she enjoys a holiday on a tropical island.

Did anyone in the past say...You need to send me $8 million,or God will strike me dead..?.I wonder if there is a similar thought behind the request for money....."you don't send us money,and Sylvia dies...."...I wonder what the M.J concert was like..can't wait for S.B. to get better and tell us all about it......Will she be a changed person after her brush with death,or will she write another book called "Death touched my shoulder",or something similar....?:(
 
Some cynical believers are asking why she was not warned by one of her contacts from the other side....well, I can reveal that she was.....but she got the reading that she was going to have a bart , cart......maybe a fart attack?

She probably tohught she was going ot be offered an appearance on Disney's Art Attack then?
