Sylvia Browne, Dr. Phil fans scammed

Not really - no predator is best pleased when another tries to muscle in on their prey territory.
 
I thought this was particularly funny:

In a telephone interview Tuesday from San Jose, Calif., Browne said she learned about the case when a Harris County prosecutor called her. The best-selling author said she has run into people pretending to be her for profit before.

I wonder why she didn't just "see it," as a good psychic would. ;)
 
Drats, I saw that after I posted mine. I wonder if Miss Browne will be coming to Houston to testify...not that I would want to lay eyes on that eyesore in person or anything.
 
I witnessed some people being scammed by what I thought was a Sylvia Browne impostor. But it turned out to be a guy in really bad drag. He was selling Ecstasy that turned out to be Pez. Still, it's probably less of a ripoff than Sylvia's $700 phone consultations.
 
So a fraud is getting people to fork over good money by giving them the false belief they're going to get good psychic readings.

How is that different from what $ylvia Browne does every day?
 
$750. for a phone reading.
It's right there on her website (which I will avoid linking to).


Why do people keep saying $700? Even on the Anderson Cooper interview (with Randi) the number was quoted incorrectly.
 
If Sylvia finds it so frustrating, she should put a warning on her site about it, like she claims to in her book.
