Surprise, Surprise, Surprise

So you wish to correct this by saying that you have always thought that Israel punishes wrongdoing by its soldiers?

Yes. In the sense that I have heard of many prior examples. That doesn't mean every wrong-doing is punished. Or that the punishment always fits the crime. Demotion for shooting and wounding a woman against orders?

I don't support organisations investigating themselves. Just because someone gets punished, that doesn't mean the investigation was fair and balanced. It doesn't mean that everyone who deserved punishment received it.

I say the same for the USA investigating Abu Ghraib. I say the same when discussing the UK's SFO investigation into... Oh wait, they didn't even pretend that was thorough:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7532714.stm

Surely there's an international court where fraud like that can be investigated. Why not? How can the law give in to threats?

But, heck, that's a whole different topic.

The only "evidence" for "Israeli war crimes in Gaza" {the people on this forum who} believe implicitly is a misleading headline in Ha'aretz.

That's it. That's the sum total of the "evidence".

Journalists were all over this story -- and found nothing, just rumors. (This, of course, includes journalists who are critical of the IDF, and who would love to prove such things, since breaking such a story is a sure-fire way for making one's name as an investigative journalist).

The IDF investigated the story -- found nothing. Despite the ignorant, pathetic derision from the folks who just "know" how the IDF "covers up the truth" (never mind that they had to use google to find out what "IDF" stands for), the IDF record on investigating claims of atrocities and war crimes is very good, at least so far.

The story is a non-story. A canard. There's nothing except vague rumors without any substantiation -- of the same kind that occurs in every war, anywhere. It is the same quality of evidence that you have for bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster.

The useful idiots, of course, just don't care. It's all -- naturally -- a coverup by the evil Zionists. Just like 9/11, you know.

As I said, idiots. Useful idiots -- to the likes of Hamas & co. -- but idiots nonetheless. I prefer the Loch ness idiots: at least they don't have their delusions exploited by anyone for anything worse than seperating them from their money.
Edited for civility.

Nah, TFT is a wannabe.

Get over yourself big man.

Real cyber-warriors don't have to expose their lack of substance with that kind of put down. Why not stick to the arguments rather than making childish personal attacks? You wouldn't last 5 minutes in a real debate using that kind of talk.

No. your post is a non post. It's just a rant of rhetorical and crass hot air transparently dressed up in a flowery pleated dress with the words "The IDF Is the most moral army in the World!" screen printed all over it.

The world knows about the IDF terrorist atrocities now Skeptic. The world has seen the pictures and the videos of the irrefutable evidence of the IDF's racist slaughter. You can't fool anyone any more with all this nonsense about Israel being the victim. No one believes it any more. The tide is turning. Stop wasting your time. People continuing to purvey the lies and the propaganda are now making themselfes look foolish.

The old lies trying to cover it all up may have worked 20 years ago, but in the modern days of the Internet and instant communication around the world have made those methods into a laughing stock.

The following quote above just shows the absurdities these people are still trying to sell when when everyone else is laughing ....

"The IDF investigated the story -- found nothing."

That has less worth than a fridge in Antarctica!!

It's like Bernie Madoff consulting his own trial and finding himself innocent. Get real. Stop living in a silly fantasy world.

This is Skeptic's MO. it says it all ....

A complete list of delusional ranting and proves how is mindset really works. Laughable!!!

"Real cyber-warriors" ??? !!!

"Real cyber-warriors" ??? !!!

That's what he is... a "cyber warrior". I understand that's "some guy who sits in front of the computer thinking posting stuff makes him a REAL MAN".

You know how the old saying was that a million monkeys typing on a million typewriters will eventually write Hamlet? Well, the internet has prove that's not true.

threads about Israel/Palestina got so pointless on JREF.
its just a bitching around and yeeling Jew-Hater or pali-hater.

it is very disgusting to read the crap here.both sides seem to have lost all sence of humanity and scepticism.....

Well why are you posting here then?

"Real cyber-warriors" ??? !!!

Damn! I didn't know what I was dealing with here.

I'm beginning to worry. I'm just a little IDF 1st Sgt (reserves). True, I have years of service and a few wars behind me. True, I was shot at by people armed with anything from Kalashnikovs to improved U2 rockets.

But -- between you and me, and as any honest Israeli will tell you -- it's not really such a big deal. I'm just one of millions of Israelis with the same or similar experience. Heck, I'm not even from an elite unit or anything; just a regular army grunt-of-an-NCO.

Am I up to the task of confronting a REAL cyber warrior, I wonder?

Good to know.

However, can you guys please answer the question: What about this particular story has evidential support? Finding the original soldiers and get their stories? Other corroborating evidence beyond "some guy said" and "everybody knows it!" ?

Well, as much as I hate to disagree with a REAL CYBER WARRIOR, even if there were the least truth in this "racist slaughter" nonsense -- I'll file that with the "Jenin massacre" and the "Israeli doctors infected Palestinian babies with AIDS" stories -- since when is the world against racist slaughter, anyway?

Certainly the support of Hamas, whose official goal is racist slaughter of all the Jews, is going strong, precisely because it promises just such racist slaughter. Support of Iran, whose goal is a worldwide racist slaughter of all infidels if they could do so, is another such example.

When one supports Hamas, one is hardly in a position to blame anybody for "racist slaughter", even if there were the least truth to one's accusations. It's a bit like owning a steakhouse and blaming other people for eating meat.
