Supporting Obama? No treats for you!

I think she doesn't understand the concept behind "trick or treat".

If she doesn't treat the kids, you can bet something's going to happen involving pranksters.

Enough of them get turned away, and she's not going to have a nice time the next few days. :3

I can just see her on the evening news now:
"Those dispiciable Obama people! They've attacked me, because I'm a McCain supporter! Oh, those bad, BAD people!"

Boo-hoo.....

In breaking news, Republicans steal Christmas, announce it will be returned "if and when McCain is inaugurated".

I could imagine them doing it, too...

War on Christmas, Christmas becomes hostage. News at 11.

where is Cicero denouncing such morally reprehensible behavior...to children no less (not reporters).

TAM;)

The one thing I've noticed about this year's election is that some people just take it way, way, too seriously, even compared to other elections.

Really, these two guys are not so radically different that the country won't survive if one or the other gets elected, and even to the extent that their differences are extreme, there is the system of checks and balances put in place at the time the Constitution was written to keep them from screwing things up too bad. Historically, congressional Democrats should fear the polls, because the party that holds the White House almost always loses seats. The good poll numbers for Obama should have some House Democrats fearing for their jobs in just two years.

It's just not all that bad. It certainly isn't bad enough that someone ought to withold candy from children.

Dude she is not going to have a nice time for the next few YEARS as it is. She seems to have already decided that.

I agree. McCain was my favorite of the GOP candidates. I doubt I would have voted for him, especially after his choice of Palin, but I'd take McCain-Palin over Bush-Cheney any day.

What you said about checks and balances is also true. Bush has demonstrated that the president can do considerable damage, but the Supreme Court is likely to continue to lean Republican for the near future as the oldest members are also the most liberal. Moderate, really. Roberts, Alito, and Thomas could be on the court for another 20 years. Scalia is the oldest of the conservatives, and at 72 has a life expectancy of 83, so unless he decides to retire he will likely outlast even a 2 term Obama presidency.

If the Democrats screw up the Republicans will retake control in the midterm elections, further blunting any damage. So if Obama wants to turn us into a Soviet Socialist republic, he really has only 2 years.

Is Obama like FDR? Would he be a coward who supports dictator Putin and other KGB thugs like FDR supported Stalin? Georgia things has nothing to do with South Ossetia or Abkhazia. Russia just wants to rebuild their empire. Well they didn"t get Finland in 1939 and if they try again they will still fail.

I love how, when asked about the kids she actually turned away, CRYING, her flippant response is that everyone has a choice.

Really? A five-year-old has a choice about who his/her Mommy/Daddy supports? Since when does any kid have any kind of influence on their parents' political leanings? That, of course, also assumes that the kids actually understand politics beyond knowing who their parents support.

I think the only thing that could make this worse would be if she were a teacher with a similar grading policy.

She has the right to give or not give away candy as she chooses.

I have the right to think she's a horse's :rule10 for the way she makes that decision.
