Such hatred for Palin

LOL! A gay cousin of mine once tried to say that gays deserved Affirmative Action just as much as blacks because their ancestors were discriminated against. I pointed out that his ancestors were in fact heterosexual, otherwise he would not be here.
Straw man argument? Poisoning the well? How does hearsay advance the discussion and why should anyone take it seriously? Though I'll cut you a bit of slack since my post was largely the same.

I don't know how anyone can hate Palin, she is so over the top ridiculous that she cracks me up every time I hear about her latest exploits.
.
Amusing disgust is all I would be able to get to, were I that interested.

But that doesn't make for "good" TV these days.

Really, we're talking about a TV gossip show getting a glimpse of the filming of Bristol's "reality" TV show. This isn't a political topic at all.

My idea of "good" is hopefully this season's "Two and a Half Men", and "The Big Bang Theory"... Kutcher wasn't awful in the opener, but an hour of Sheldon is really asking too much from the audience.
Other than these two and the news at 5, my tv is off.

i certainly don't hate palin, but i certainly find her amusing.
what's scary is that so many of the american abysmally far right see her as presidential material.
Booga, booga! She had more private-sector experience than Obama, McCain, and Biden combined. She had more executive experience than Obama, McCain, and Biden combined. She's still my preferred candidate. I want any of the following, Herman Cain, Palin, or Gary Johnson as the President in 2013 and another of that trio as VP.

Use of the term "right" or "left" to describe a political position indicates a one-dimensional view of the multi-dimensional political continuum that I do not share.

It's never open season on celebrities or politicians. The guy was a jerk. Bristol then asked a question, and the jerk replied in the affirmative. How is that "homophobic"?

Here's an analogy: on a public street, someone regognizes a daughter of an opponent of racial preferences for college admission, and makes sexually-oriented personal remarks about the politician and her daughter. The daughter replies: "Do you take that position because you're __X__ ?" (fill in the blank with a race). That's a question, not an assertion. ....

Right. Then the gay answers in the affirmative, and asks how does she know, and she says basically it's obvious. Could have been clothes, earrings, any number of things. No homophobia present, but PalinPhobia noted.

wow....like i said....scaaaaary.
i can't believe how low the american abysmally right have set their standards.
it has been decades since you folks have had a true statesman or leader as president.

Or, she could have known because it was a casting requirement for that particular scene.

Reality TV scenes are faked all the time; this topic has absolutely no place in this subforum.

While I'm no fan of Palin, bashing her seems to now be like the old joke about the comedian bombing at a London gig, who finally yells out "**** the Irish" and gets a standing O.

Try think without the vacuous terms "left" or "right".

The country? True, and look where this country is now. Free marketeers? Lots of leaders, but most of them not even in elective office. Until voters abandon socialist fantasies, free marketeers rely on businessmen and theoreticians: Sam Walton, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams. Palin would have made the Federalist case that only Johnson and Cain articulated in the last Republican debate. And Bachmann

Wow....just wow.

She couldn't even manage to complete one term as governor, yet still managed to alienate her own party. Oh, and being governor of THE Welfare State hardly seems like great experience for being President.

I think it is mind boggling that a person with Presidential aspirations would allow any of their children to be on a reality program and if they did allow them why wouldn't their children be coached to avoid episodes like the one on this video.

She couldn't even manage to complete one term as governor...
She left her successor sitting pretty, and saved herself the expense of defending against a barrage of frivolous lawsuits.
...yet still managed to alienate her own party.
That's a point in her favor, isn't it?

Dunno. There's a point, there. Somebody gets the oil revenue.

She quit. It isn't like other sitting officials haven't had to deal with frivolous lawsuits.

That's a point in her favor, isn't it?

It's not a point in her favor when she can't even work with members of her own party (or any other party).

Dunno. There's a point, there. Somebody gets the oil revenue.

I mean Alaska gets something like one third to one half of its revenue from the Federal Government -- more than any other State. It's not remotely capable of operating on its own and certainly doesn't provide much experience on balancing a budget based on internal revenue when tons of outside money is coming in. It's also exceedingly small (as far as population and government go). Overall, it is just a terrible place to get experience for an office like the President.

This is to say nothing of such ridiculously things she does like saying "what do you read" or "what do you take away from your visit" are 'gotcha' questions when she can't give a coherent answer to either one.

there is not a viable alternative to obama in any portion of the political spectrum.
and i am not remotely a fan of obama....he is a corporate stooge.
they are all either bozos or bimbos...and in the case of palin and bachmann....both.
