An article in the Utah Deseret Morning News carries the headline "Study suggests more same-sex couples make Utah home".
Based on a study by the Williams Institute for Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy at the UCLA School of Law, what the study actually finds is that more gays are forming couples, and more gay couples are telling the truth about being gay.
This in the heart of the Mor[m]on faith!
The Utah reporter drawing conclusions from the study goes on to discuss gay marriage and felt compelled to use quotes around the phrase civil unions.
One person commenting on the story in the Utah press says "I don't agree with the "live and let live" philosophy..."
This story is being handled a bit differently in the gay press. For example at 365gay.com. The study found the greatest increase in gay couples reporting that they are gay couples in red states that have legislated against equality in civil rights.
Will Fundamentalists point to this demographic shift as proof that homosexual activists are gaining ground in their global recruitment drives?
