Something funny I remembered.
I was in first grade when the 1996 Presidential elections were held. The teacher- Ms. or Mrs. Fredricks- held a mini election in our classroom. It wasn't who we wanted to win but who we thought would win. Everyone except for me voted for Bill Clinton. I voted for Bob Dole just because I wanted him to get at least one vote; I felt sorry for him since it was so obvious Clinton would win the whole election.

My parents were Republicans and said bad things about Clinton at home but that wasn't really it; I just wanted to root for the underdog and do the reverse of everyone else just because it was the reverse, something I've carried into adulthood.
We were sitting at our desks and Ms. Fredricks had everyone stand up when she called on them and state who they were voting for. When my turn came I stood up and bravely said "Bob Dole" and everyone (including the teacher) looked at me like I had lost my mind, since it was so obvious Clinton would win. Laughter, snickers and cries of "
Bob Dole?!" followed.
Clinton won about 34 to 1.
That's how obvious Sylvia Browne's Clinton prediction was: I was
seven in 1996 and
I knew it! Forget CNN, the first graders in Ms. Fredrick's class in P.S.152, Queens were all making the same prediction!
As a matter of fact, I think the only person in the known universe who thought Bob Dole would win the election against Bill Clinton in 1996 was, well, Bob Dole.
