So, in early 1999, Sylvia predicts "more terrorist attacks in Florida and London" to occur that year.

She appears on Larry King Live on August 31, 2000 (Transcript here), and the following exchange takes place:

KING: But this kind of thing, you could have stopped people -- you could have stopped passengers from getting on a plane that's going to be in trouble, right?

BROWNE: That's true, but you see, then you'd have to sit all the time and be calling on phones and everything, you know.

Heh. You can really nail her with that.

So she is saying she could see an airline disaster ahead of time and do something to stop it. But that it is too much trouble to make phone calls to prevent the disasters she sees.

But anyway, she says she can change what the future shows to her.

But three years later, on May 16, 2003 on Larry King (Transcript here), she tells him something completely different:

KING: So nothing upsets you?

BROWNE: No, because you have the whole chart there. Down hear we're blindsided. They have the whole chart in front of them.

KING: You mean everything is prearranged?

BROWNE: Prearranged...

KING: Then there is no free will?

BROWNE: Not here. Over the other side there is.

KING: There's no free will here?

BROWNE: Not here.

KING: It's written when you're going to die?

BROWNE: You wrote your chart, Larry, to be on this show, even to be with me tonight. You wrote who you were going to marry, you wrote your children...

KING: All this is done?

BROWNE: You did it.

You cannot change what is going to happen. Basically, if you were raped as a child, you chose to be raped, and the rapist chose to be a rapist.

Backing up to eight days before 9/11, Sylvia is on Larry King live again on September 8, 2001 (Transcript here), and not only fails to say anything about upcoming attacks, but also accepts to take Randi's Challenge.

After 9/11, she places a pop-up on her site saying she is not omniscient, but doesn't hesitate to throw out a couple post-hoc predictions about it, and later says she had predicted 9/11 in 1999.

Here's another one you can nail Sylvia with. From the same August 31, 2000 interview on LKL:

KING: Does a psychic always tell the truth to the people?

BROWNE: They must.

When SB entered the room to give my friend a so-called reading, she brought with her an egg timer. When the bell rang after 30 minutes, SB got up and abruptly left the room. You can even hear the timer in the tape.

Then you are absolutely going to love this:

KING: What do you charge people?

BROWNE: My fee now I think is $400.

KING: For how long?

BROWNE: I never shut anybody off.

It could be 30, 40 minutes whatever. I mean, if you're in the middle of something, I don't say "ding-ding."

Same link above from August 2000.

Freaking beautiful, huh?

How would you guys like it if you had a job, and someone came up and tried stopping you from working?
Don't people have to be, you know, capable of doing the job before they're allowed to? To date, no one has ever demonstated that they're qualified to fill the job of "psychic." They can get a million dollars just for passing the interview. And that's before salary.

I'd be willing to run up and bodyslam Sylvia Brown at a public appearance if someone else will photograph it. It would make a terrific front page picture for the website!

I suspect we could ask, "Why didn't she see that coming?" as well as produce an entertaining image.

That would be assault. And anyone agreeing to photograph it would be guilty of conspiracy.

That's ridiculous.

Who cares what Sylvia Browne believes? She has books out about her beliefs, and they sell millions. She obviously believes what she writes or she wouldn't write it. How would you guys like it if you had a job, and someone came up and tried stopping you from working?

It's true. :)

I'm wondering, do you have the same attitude when the police put a prostitute out of business?

And prostitutes are more honest than Sylvia.

I'm SO excited by this!!!
I'd be glad to help out in any way that I can.
Thanks, Monk! Watch this forum for future requests for help!

I'm not sure what help I could possibly give, with all these others here, but you have my support.
Thanks, clar. Very much appreciated.

Damn. Those are some scary fingernails. How does she do...stuff.
Thanks for THAT mental image, haywire.
Has she gotten any attention from Penn&Teller?
She may have been mentioned in their very first episode, which was about the whole talk-with-the-dead crowd. But to my knowledge, they haven't done an episode on her.

Have you considered setting up a Paypal link so that we can contribute that way? I don't know if cash is what you need, but just a thought.
Thanks Big Les, but at this point, money is not needed. Ideas, suggestions, moral support... these are what I need at this point. But again, thanks!

Luke, thanks for all the links. I will be analyzing and organizing them all in the coming days.

Well Arthur, thanks for the offer, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass on that. Physical assaults are not what I'm after here.

The interesting thing is though: according to her own philosophy, if someone did bodyslam her, she would have chosen - before she was even born - to be bodyslammed. And of course, you - before you were even born - would have chosen to do the slamming.

That just totally blew my mind!
