Merged StopSylvia emails

My reaction, frankly, was that if this person lost 50 dollars about 40 years ago, he/she got off easy. Compared to the damage that psychics have done, such as scamming people out of their life savings or telling them that their missing child was dead, this is absolutely nothing. Far from feeling ripped off, this person should feel lucky.

Amazing that someone would even remember it after all this time.

Then, I understand wanting to have 50 dollars back. I sure would.

Sylvia better?

Is Sylvia doing better?

Her November 16, 2013 appearance at Uptown Theatre in Napa, CA seems to be moving forward:

Says postpone till 12/6/13

I see it's been updated since my post and even Browne's website, for the first time, mentioned some of the shows were postponed:

Still no mention on the main http://www.sylviabrowne.com page that she is/was sick or why the shows were postponed/cancelled.

Dec. 6 is only about 3 weeks away. Evidently they are hopeful she'll be recovered enough by then to perform, whatever the situation.

Yep.

One of my workmates' mother had a stroke three months ago. She was out of hospital within a week, and is basically doing her usual activities now. Her speech is just a bit slurred.

We don't know when or how bad Sylvia Browne's stroke was, but it's quite possible she could be back to performing fairly soon.

Then there are those of us who spent eleven months in hospitals and rehab centers after their stroke, and are not back to doing their "basic activities" more than five YEARS after their stroke. :(

Oh, Robert! Sorry to make you sad. :( :hug8

I was just trying to say that some strokes can be very minor. I wasn't saying that a stroke is always a minor thing in the slightest!

I've already told you about my dad. :(

[slight derail]
Just found 14 reviews of her show here http://www.ticketmaster.com/Sylvia-Browne-tickets/artist/721676?tm_link=edp_Artist_Name#BVRRWidgetID. There were 4 positive reviews by her hard core fans and 10 very negative reviews.

rj, thanks for posting that link.

For those who did not follow the link, here are the Titles of the various "Fan reviews":

(and remember, these were keyed into the Ticketmaster web site over the past three years by "fans" who had evidently liked her enough to pay for a ticket to one of her performances)

  1. Ummm...Next time I'll pass
  2. Not worth it
  3. (No title)
  4. Extremely Disappointing
  5. Like the books, hate the show
  6. Lackluster performance
  7. Not like she use to be....
  8. Sylvia Is Amazing
  9. Once again a great show!
  10. (No title)
  11. What a waste of time and money...
  12. Sadly disappointed
  13. Highly recommend this event
  14. Please, no more!
  15. OMG do not go to this

...it's also interesting to note that there have only been 16 reviews for her shows posted over the past three years or so.

One of the reviewers (14 - Please, No More!) seems to be saying that Montel was a guest speaker at one of Sylvia's shows. Or did I read this wrong?

StopSylvia email: AP reporter interview request

I am reposting this here in case it gets lost in the other thread:

Speaking of AP reporters...

I received an email today at StopSylvia from an AP reporter in Los Angeles who wanted to interview me today for an article he was writing about Sylvia Browne's passing.

It was sent around noon today, but unfortunately, I did not see it until 8:30pm, too late to do the interview today (which was apparently what he wanted).

I replied, apologizing for not having seen his email earlier, and telling him that I am not as up-to-date on Browne's failed predictions and readings as I once was, and sent him my phone number and a twelve-hour time span, any time during which I would be more than happy to be interviewed, or to set up a time for an interview.

If he calls or replies, I will post here about it.
