Thanks for asking. I am still in a wheelchair, and suffered a (mild)
heart attack in June 2011, but I continue to recover a little bit each
day, with my wonderful wife Susan cheering me on!
After the heart attack, I finally cleaned up my act, diet-wise, and
have lost more than 30 lbs. since then!
I believe the case you're referring to is when Browne told the parents
of missing ten-year-old Shawn Hornbeck that Shawn was dead, and that he
was buried between two jagged boulders in a wooded area some 20 miles
south of where they lived.
Those parents, Pam and Craig Akers, have since gone on record saying
that Browne offered them more help at her usual rate ($750/hour then).
Fortunately, young Shawn was found, very much alive, a few years later,
in the home of a man who had kept him as a sexual slave in his
apartment all that time.
Browne denies ever offering to help them for a fee. I'll let you
decide who to believe, her or the parents.
