Did she say "no more lectures after 2008"? Or did she say that the 2008 lecture tour was her last lecture tour? If the latter, I suppose she could now say that she is STILL on the 2008 lecture tour. It would be nonsense, but I can see her saying that.
 
Whichever one she said, it does suggest that your site, RSLancastr, made a difference and you can do it again both to her and any others you want to do it to.

The "t" is correct; it identifies a thread number. "p" is used for identifying individual posts.

What she said specifically was that it was her Farewell Tour - the last year she would be doing the lecture circuit. "Get your tickets now because this is Sylvia's Farewell Tour! This could be your last chance!" - that's not it exactly but it was that kind of thing. Then she said the same thing about 2009. I couldn't believe it and I think I started a thread about it at that point.

Yes, ExMinister, I remember getting the email about it being her "farewell tour"....

What I found interesting is the lecture she cancelled recently due to "the flu"...The cancellation just happened to be in Indianapolis....wonder if it was really the flu...or was she worried about the fact that Rob lives there and she couldn't be sure that the venue wouldn't be picketed or maybe Rob and his group would embarrass her from the audience...
 
I'm so glad you've posted again; my partner and I got very immersed in it a couple of years back and we check regularly. Thank you for keeping it up; it's an important public service.

I just visited your site today on my own without even checking here and noticed you had updated it and it made me very happy. I noticed some of the things others have pointed out but it doesn't matter. Robert is back in the house!

By the way, if you find another typo/error like that, please emphasize what needs fixing, like linke, or something similar. I read and compared the two sentences inyour post a dozen or more times before my ancient eyes caught the typo. Thanks again!
 
I may just be a JREF forum n00b, but it's great to have you back and posting at StopSylvia! It was an honor to meet you (however briefly) at this past TAM, and the speech you gave about your stroke was incredibly affecting. I got choked up, and that almost never happens. Here's to a long life and continued improvement.

She's like those furniture stores that have "Going out of business" sales every couple of months. Except I can't get anything useful for my $650.

Hi Seeking Truth!

I meant to respond to this a few days ago! I didn't know she'd cancelled due to the flu. I wonder if this is the cancellation someone started a thread about here recently that was attributed to "unforeseen" circumstances. (People found the idea of a so-called psychic admitting to "unforeseen" cirumstances to be kind of funny.)

At any rate, interesting thought about Indianapolis and Rob.
